Didn't streamers say it was 60? Or were they not able to tell the difference...

Could it have been bumped down to 30 by the patch to improve other things?

I merely said that you can test the said video (of the person recording their room and TV in 60 fps) in any video player of your choosing (I used Potplayer), play it frame by frame and see that the ingame frames are pretty much doubled in that specific recording, which was taken pre-patch.

If someone wants to do the same thing, use their phone or whatever device that records at 60 fps and record their TV while playing NMS post-patch, then we might get a better idea. But again, this isn't a completely exact method, just an approximate view at the game's framerate, like if it's near or sub 60 fps etc.
 
Hello Games absolutely needs to grab a dozen hours sleep and maybe a couple days off work. Because in 24 hours the internet is going to explode with absolutely life-threateningly urgent requests to add this, remove that, tune here, expand there... RIGHT NAOH!!!

yeah, sorry. i realised what you meant now. I guess we'll just have to see when someone records the game.

I was actually playing it thinking how much I'd like a buggy, like the Mako. But I'll hold that request for now, game is great as is.

That's a gif of my video that I took yesterday.

I've had the game since Saturday. Unless the patch has changed anything, the game runs at 30fps.

Can confirm 100% it's not running at 60fps, pre-patch.

I have been doing the same with my GF, lol. Been gaming for over 30+ years, and have not talked about a game like this, with these feels, since I was 11 years old, lol.
 
So some gaffers are saying it's 30fps, but a (developer?) says it's 60?

Come on DF or NXG, put us out of our misery here!

Not for me. If you want to get a game like one day early, never order to Amazon.

I still order with them for the customer service, even though there's some online shops here that release games a day or two earlier.
 
Best Buy shipping says out for delivery today. May be the first time that's ever happened for me but I'll take it.

It's safe to play today right? Patch already out?

I actually loved bouncing around in ME1 in the mako...it was actually pretty relaxing. That was about as "space explorer" as I could get on consoles....and now it's so close!

TGC just shipped ao fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow! They usually get them here a day before release, don't let me down!

Yeah, I've stuck with them for everything but Nintendo games. They never ship those on time, and I think it's an issue on Nintendo's end because I had the same issue with Best Buy and Smash.

I also stick with them for that cool 20% off :3
 
So I just checked my downloads and it looks like preordering on PSN netted me the Alpha Vector ship. I thought ship dlc was with retail preorders only?

I would love a buggy. Haven't played the game yet, but on-foot exploration seems quite slow. A middle-ground between that and the fast ship would be sweet. And better yet, an amphibian buggy! That can also submerge and become a submarine!

Come on HG, this is clearly a cooler thing to do than large freight ships.

There is, we just don't know what it is.

I strongly suspect that the push for finishing the Day 1 patch and getting it through cert on PS4 meant not being able to focus on finishing the Day 1 patch on PC, hence a few days later.
 
Some of those ships in the post-patch footage from the youtube stream earlier were kind of pricy.

Like 500k pricy.

Also the Streamer made like 20k Units just for selling some Gold he mined on his starting planet.

So the 10k credits we get for pre-ordering is kind of a insignificant thing. I guess maybe the ship might be more valuable though.

Some folks that may not want to use the pre-order ship might want to see if they can sell it for credits and use that to buy one of the starter ships instead.

We all are, lol. Still says, 'Shipping Soon', but also says, 'On Time' for Tomorrow.

They are usually good on overnight release day shipping. Especially close to a distribution center.
 
No delivery from Game for me today. I reckon they're holding out until Wednesday, even though they said they'd shipped. Those dirty liars! lol

Do you mean will this game stay full priced for a long time? I expect so. PC version is only available from a handful of websites and appears to have no discount at all which is rare.
 
I'm pretty satisfied with my ability to avoid every gameplay video and stream so far, including their respective write ups. But man, is it hard to avoid all those live streamers now on my PS4...
 
Grats on the OT. However I was fully expecting "My god, it's full of stars" as the tagline. This works as well though.

I'm on the fence, I want to see something akin to a GB quicklook and of course I'll take scores into consideration. Just not ready to pull the trigger yet.
 
Just got home from a trip and saw that the HG's steam post about delaying PC until Friday.

They had all this time to change the date and clarify on the largest sales platform for PC. And they choose 2 days before release to change the date. I'm super pissed about this because I've planned PTO day, prepped my SO to know that I won't be available for shit on Tuesday, etc.

All this time and they choose 2 days before supposed release to clarify. That's lazy and really fucked up. I'm very upset by this.
