Shit, didn't realize this was out. Was taking a wait and see approach and trying to stay out of the veritable shit tsunami that this game seemed to have caused in the last few months.

Two things I think may have persuaded me:

- Impressions seem good so far. Not paying attention to any review scores at this stage for a game like this, but the impressions seem good.

- I only just caught up on the whole death threat thing earlier this year (seriously, WTF!) and the way Sean handled that with his twitter responses was pure gold. I feel like he's earned my money now before I even try his product

It's one out of Star Trek. Got through half an episode of Farscape after watching Ben Browder and Claudia Black's run in Stargate SG-1.

Forgot about LV-426! Flying bugs = Zebes. I guess if this game has giant sand worms, I'm calling said planet Arrakis.

I've been on the going back on forth on this game. Between day 1 and "maybe during a sale." But watching the team emphasize themes of retro futurism is tugging my heart strings. Between this video and Sean's message in the booklet, I'm reminded of how obsessed I was as a kid, and in every graphics class I've ever taken, with that theme and imagery. It warms my heart that perhaps this game *may* scratch that itch for many. I'm still not sure when/if I'm getting the game, but I'm so glad it's been made.

Doubt we'll get a fov slider for ps4, as far as the HUD if you press left on the d pad it will hide it, but I think the compass and icons still show. Haven't heard of any way to hide everything yet.
