Is it okay to occasionally post up a picture in the official thread? Seems kind of a shame to just segment that one entire aspect of the game off from the official thread.

So I got a copy today, came home and patched, and let my 10 year old daughter play first. Pure joy. Her face when she took off from her first planet. So good.

I'm definitely looking forward to letting my kids take a crack at this. This would no doubt have blown my mind as a kid.

Wow. Just the music, art and overall atmosphere will be enough for me to never get sick of kicking back and being an explorer. It will definitely have that kind of lasting appeal, especially with the big plans they have for updating it. It's scary to think how great this game might become as they continue to add more and more.

Toggle off "connect to the Internet" in network settings and you should be fine.

If so, I don't see how it would be that hard for two or more people to meet up. You would just have to find the same galaxy, same planet, then each other. Obviously it would take some time but it wouldn't be impossible. Right?

Oh, yeah. I mean, sure the Photo Thread is going to be the main place for screenshots, but I imagine everyone's going to have those "OMG, I need to show people this" moments. Given the game is designed around exploration and discovery, it's only understandable

As long as pages don't start turning into screenshot albums, screenshots should be cool here. Basically go wild in the Photo thread, save the OT screenshots for your coolest stuff

It really is amazing how different the game is with the patch. The vanilla disc is more like a proof of concept compared to the update.

Super excited to see what effect having a ton of people in the universe will have on the game starting in 20 minutes or so.
