Other than the series against Alliance they have looked better with every match. Part of me thinks they just didn't care by the time they got to that match with Alliance and decided to experiment a bit before they got to matches that counted.

I feel like Moo is the most underappreciated NA DotA player out there. Guy almost never gets mentioned but is solid as a rock.

Whether it's drafting, individual skills, laning leading to early game advantage, team fight execution, late game itemization etc. they are all superior in overall than the other teams in the winner bracket.

Lmao at OG getting Jimmy'd and SEA'd. Guess 2 majors don't really mean a thing if you're coming at 12th in TI.

The guide is a little old but this covers most of what you need to know.

Read the guide, read the dota wiki and then fuck around with heroes in bot games until you get a feel for the game and find heroes that fit your playstyle.

Best advice is to not go it alone. Find a friend who already knows how to play it and ask him to show you the ropes. Be prepared for a *steep* learning curve (maybe not as bad if you've played SC2 and League before).

Also visit yourfriendly neighborhood NeoGAF Dota OT thread and say hi. I'm sure you'll find someone that's in your timezone that will be willing to teach you.

have you seen ehome, mvp and wings? fear had a pretty awful laning stage game 1, slardar was free farm and had blink at 7 min, newbee executed poorly they could have had that game easily
game 2 was really really close,one mistake from eg and it would have been game over, universe missed a bunch of chronoes and sumail was inconsistent late game, zai is always perfect though.

I would say playing SC2 and LoL only really help with mechanical abilities whic--while being helpful--don't really address the hardest part of getting into DotA 2.
