People should start making up stuff that Trump says and asking Republicans what they think.

"So Donald Trump said that he's in favor of abortions, but only for Mexicans. What do you say to that?"

"So Donald Trump said that Hillary will take away all the power from the whites. What do you say to that?"

"So Donald Trump called on all Americans to burn a Mosque if they see one. What do you say to that?"

Iirc triumph the insult comic dog did this on his election special

My 8 year old nephew repeated the line "Make American great again." at a recent family gathering.

I just...need to smack my brother in law in the face.

I saw a woman with two small children in the street the other day, and she told the older one who was being impatient about something to 'wait a fucking minute' and then the younger one immediately repeated it in broken baby English. It was adorable. Children are awesome. So easy to program.

YES.

It already happens with "who said it? Hitler or Trump?"

Main story on CNN front page now. Don't know if that's been put in this thread or not, or how long it's been the main story.

Jimmy Kimmel actually did a bit like this.

Incredible that in a post Gabbi Giffords world, we have a presidential candidate suggesting that his opponent be assassinated.

Truly incredible.

The rampant hyperbole surrounding Trump has been driving me crazy (I heard a liberal describe a potential Trump victory as 'an extinction level for mankind' recently) but this...

...this is truly unbelievable. Truly shocking. I mean, I am shocked.

Is there a poll point where we can all just assume Hillary will win / has won and can ban these kinds of threads? More importantly, can the mass media do the same? I just want this fucking guy to go away.

We can do it the day after he loses. Until then, this stuff has to stay in the news as a reminder for people to vote.

Voter complacency is Trump's best route to victory.

Amazing to think that in 2008 John McCain interrupted one of his supporters at his own rally to defend Barack against accusations of being "an Arab" and to reassure the crowd that Obama was a "descent man" and no one had anything to fear under his Presidency.

The Grand Old Party has fallen a long, long way since McCain.

Now, two of those didn't happen, but you're not sure which two, and that's kind of the point, isn't it?

Come on guys, a presidential candidate not knowing about why the country doesn't use nukes is just pure hyperbole created by liberals and the media, the world will still stand.

Honest to god: if this were "obviously" just a remark toward supporters of the second amendment to vote against Hillary-- this would have gotten zero attention as just another random remark during a speech. But taken Trump's personality and dictionary of fucked up comments, it's hard for me to see it as anything but what it actually is. That CNN is highlighting it, I think, rather speaks in spades.

I remember that. And also thinking well... even if we have a republican candidate it wont be the end of the world. Now however... Trump is getting too close to presidency.

Can someone explain what these words mean?

Sorry, I'm sure everyone else knows already
It's WWE wrestling terms.
Work = when wrestlers act, go by script, pretend.
Shoot = when wrestlers do something for real, from heart, unscripted.

So when someone works himself into a shoot, it means that he's gotten so into to an act that at that moment the acting persona becomes him for real.

Also, it's a topic about...never mind.

According to his supporters, he's gone from "telling it like it is" to "telling it but you're misinterpreting it!"

People have different opinions and all, but these surrogates and supporters can't act like it can't be taken that way, no matter what way you think. He's running for President, not doing interviews for The Apprentice. Everything he says matters. This isn't a one-time thing. This is the hundredth thing in these last 14 months. He's not going to stop saying weird shit if he becomes President. Then every word will be scrutinized even more, and have larger consequences.

That's one of the many reasons he should not be on any ballot.

I'm tired of this asshole having to backtrack and re-explain what he truly means after every outrageous statement. If you truly can't verbally convey a clear, well thought out message to the point that the true meaning becomes completely lost.. Maybe you're in the wrong battle.

Can't Obama do anything about this statement?

He can have fire a nuclear missile into his face.

This guy has to be the biggest disgrace to ever "grace" our political system....well at the very least he's right up there.

Holy Christ SMH.....

They're wrestling terms.

Beyond that, this construction is from a particularly stupid Hulk Hogan tweet.

EDIT: The old Hogan tweet:
"Goodnight HULKAMANIACS and jabronie marks without a life that don't know it a work when you work a work and work yourself into a shoot, marks"

If you actually watch the comment being spoken, he does that Trump thing, where, when he knows the amount of shit his forthcoming comment is about to stir-- he has this body language about him. He wasn't unaware, and it blows my mind to think that people truly believe he had any shred of innocence about the statement. Yet that's what people are trying to make me believe, but I'm not buying it.

Actually it's sourced from a Republican in the media who's in a good position to know.

Fak this punk!!

Also did anyone stop to think that perhaps the Secret Service agents guarding Trump himself would find this personally offensive? It's no secret (pardon the pun) that a Secret Service officers job is to essentially throw himself in front of the person he's protecting to shield them from harm. Trump is basically suggesting that one of their own probably has to die to save Clinton.

If Trump knew he had a crosshair on himself, would he intentionally pull an agent into the bullet's path?

He's a straight talker!*

*straight talk may have to be interpreted by a platoon of surrogates.

Does anything George Bush said in his entire presidency compare to the awfulness of what Trump has said in the last year?

Bush had flaws. A lot of them. In fact I used to be Republican before he took office and many things he did made me shuffle and never look back.

But this just beats the hell out of me.

Haha, exactly.

I just wish someone at a news network had the balls to say in the middle of an interview, "is there anything he could do that you would find reprehensible?" See what they say. Or, "can you say how someone can see this in the wrong light?"

But nope. They let them spew their garbage and move on. I'll give it to Don Lemon, though, he almost gets there.
