The International 2016 (Aug 3rd - 13th)

Anybody know Drow's winrate so far at TI? Seems like an insta-lose pick

they did terrible in the group stages and got placed in the first round of lower brackets which are a best of 1.

They had a good run of tournaments leading up to the invites but had a real bad group stage which seeded them in the lower bracket and even more unfortunately put them up against Liquid in their first elimination match.

oh ok I didn't really follow much leading up to TI. So they had high expectatons, but performed poorly? hmm, any other interesting storylines this TI?

i also noticed Secret and Alliance eliminated early. Arteezy on Secret in particular, i thought he was on EG?

I don't think Dusa has a high winrate at this TI so far, but the other picks are solid.

This could be another very close game.

I'd say the best storyline so far is Jimmy Ho's Pinoy team TNC knocking out odds on favorites OG earlier.

Another good one was EG and Secret fucking up their chance at invite due to shuffling members right before the qualis, so they both had to play thru their respective qualifiers to get into TI. EG clearly has been doing alright with their new (basically same as their old) lineup, but Secret took a megashit.

That was probably the most insane Dota game in the last couple years.

yall acting like she just gets a free aghs at 15 minutes. deny her farm, gank her, force her to buy hp, etc.

And you're the only one acting like she's not a problem when it's clear that she's one of the breakout heroes of the tournament. Also she's the most picked hero, at 80 picks. (Batrider is next at 77, then 3rd is Shadow Demon at 51)

Starfall and Arrow already allow her to farm relatively well even when she's ganked repeatedly. Once she gets Aghs it's like getting Radiance on an Alchemist with regards to farming, and like an E-Blade with regards to killing enemy heroes.

I personally really dislike E-Blade as an item, since it seems tailor-made for Agi heroes who want to nuke heroes down with magic damage. This was Morphling's niche for years, but now Mirana does this too with her Aghs upgrade.

Sumail play Dusa before? He's overqualified for that hero. Will be interesting to see him playing a hero that just A-clicks the ground.

At least they have a bunch of chargers this year. I'm bringing my battery brick tomorrow tho.

Too many people, 1 drop all day :(

Wasn't that the case with the last draft?

Last game? Didn't get to see it, but looking at it it was far better than the current one, they don't have lots of team fight control this time around, plus they have way too greedy cores. We have seen the weirdest lineups already succeed tho, so who knows.

EG outclassing ehome.

They're already at a huge advantage and clearly have the way superior lategame. Medusa + Drow + SD? And a void to boost?

Man, you're so bad at this. Where's the froth? Where's the vitriol? If you believe in your team they will never accomplish anything.

Yawn, even if Ehome were to accumulate a much larger lead than they had in game 1, how could they possible take highground without several major fuck ups. Medusa or Drow + SD can seriously defend 2v5.
