They already have cases of games rendering at 1800p, 4K gaming will happen for most games released(aka smaller games), the bigger gaming titles will fluctuate with lower resolutions.
But 4K gaming is going to happen on NEO, and definitely on Scorpio
I already said as much. And who cares if they already have "games" rendereding at 1800p? That says nothing. Are they locked at 30fps, or are there typical frame pacing and outright drops like there currently are with some of the more ambitious titles on the PS4 at 1080p? I don't see something like The Witcher 3 or Horizon being rendered natively and not being a shit show performance wise. You can barely do that on PCs right now that have vastly superior rendering power.
