I preordered the game just so I could complete my collection of awful Square-Enix films.
I've played both episode duscae and the carbuncle demo and I wasn't impressed. I welcome a delay because I can't see this title living up to what meagre expectations I do have.

Atlus is celebrating right now, its japanese and western release are both months away from XV now......as long as P5 dont get delayed again.

They're delaying the holidays until February to accommodate the November release.

Nah, none of the promo materials are going to say the new release date until the announcement is made. Nor will store-level GameStop folks who have not received the newer date be in-the-know on this.

Well if you're generally out of the loop that's what happens. Apparently No Man's Sky had all this hype that I didn't see.
It hasn't been 10 years. It's only been three. Final Fantasy XV isn't Versus XIII.
I think the hype isn't quite as bad as it seems, but it's not good, either. It needs a real boost. Nothing Square has done -- nor, I dare predict, can do -- will give it the edge it needs to be on ultra-mainstream minds at this point.
