If you know your vote doesn't matter, and you want to express your dissatisfaction for a broken system, why not...hmmm....vote for a candidate you believe in. Hell, you can write your own name in for all I care.
This is why people are calling you idiot/fascist. Because voting for Trump means:
A.) You didn't think of what I just said, which would make you kinda silly.
B.) You DO support Trump, which would make you a fascist.
Having said that, the name change does suck for you and is actually quite ironic. The person who did that clearly has a problem with fascism, and yet abused his power to change your name. People on GAF find that amusing/funny/whatever, but it's actually kind of gross to think that someone decided to take your name, and give you another one because they clearly know better.
But that's off-topic and obviously rather personal given I think it's obvious I didn't name myself Some Nobody. So let's get focused again:
We already look like morons to the rest of the world. It's like when people continue to say Trump and Hillary are equally bad when they're so obviously not. Trump is a racist, sexist fearmongerer. He says things that are unmistakably false and just goes on like these things can't be immediately fact-checked into oblivion. He's a guy running for the highest military office in the land--the commander-in-chief of the largest military force in the fucking world, and he kicked his political career off by calling POWs "losers". He tried to smear the names of a Muslim family that lost their son--a son who died fighting for this country. He's made mistakes that literally no other human being with even a few months of political experience would've dared make, and is such a shitty candidate he's managing to make some of the people with shorter memories long for the days of Mittens and John McCain.
This is a guy who should never have achieved anything remotely resembling a plurality. He should've gotten 2 percent, maybe five, and been a joke by now. But he's not--because there are enough people in most of the fifty states that believe all of the worst things he's said. And so if I'm from another country following American politics I've got to believe a large percentage of us are a bunch of ignorant mouthbreathers who think Mexico sends us their rapists and we should kill the families of terrorists to make them stop fighting us. (I'm still not sure how he got away with that one.)
And even those of us on the liberal side are a little wrong--we're all so self-satisfied that the GOP is getting what they've earned over the past twelve years and self-destructing. And rightfully so, but....why are none of us fucking embarrassed? Because over anything else right now, knowing that Trump has no shot but is still The Other candidate for the Presidency of the United States of America? We should be.
Truth. Someone not from America can only look at this election and conclude "a great percentage - 40% or more - of Americans are actually evil."
