Weeeiird. I would have preferred the addition of arena multiplayer, but this could be kind of cool.
Lol Hard Reset was terrible. It's a "classic FPS" by people who apparently have no idea what classic FPS play like.
Flying Wild Hog is still the developer so nope.
Something else important to note is that this game has straight up wangs in it. No joke, during the E3 demo I had to find an artifact and the artifact ended up being a desiccated demon dong with a spiked c-ring on it.
Comparing this to Doom 3 makes it even weirder for me.
I dunno, but it took the game from a "must buy" to a "strong maybe" for me.
Tired of all the bloated bullshit games.
They should've had 3-player Co-Op, and named them Lo Wang, Mid Wang and High Wang.
Lo Pan? Where's the purile pun?I didn't know it's procedurally generated and that it has loot. Maybe it will work. The only thing I actively dislike is the floating damage numbers that pop up. I hate that and floating health bars in non-RPGs.
Make that Lo Wang, Lo Pan and Lo Blo.
I know, I needed a dick joke.
Sounds like it's shaping up to be Borderlands with dick jokes and better combat.PCPP: I was doing a bit of research on it and I read somewhere that the story levels wouldnt be as procedurally generated as the other content. Is that correct, or how are you approaching the idea of being able to mix procedural generation and open-approach?
Slawomir Uliasz: Well, it wont be as procedurally generated as grinding levels, grinding missions first of all, there will be tiles, because our levels are composed of tiles, they are, like, 200 metres square, which are connected to each other to create the whole level. So there are tiles which are dedicated almost solely for the story and only after they play their role in the story there are another mix of other procedurally generated levels.
Our level designers are painstakingly put a lot of effort to make sure that objectives on the levels are generated in places they should be, like, for instance, you are looking for something which is in the house, which should be located in some kind of house, some kind of building, so they make sure that it wont be generated outside of the building in the forest, that it will be generated inside the house, so in this way, yes, they are slightly less procedurally generated that everything else, but its still you wont be sure. But still, everything around it is procedurally generated from pieces. When we both start playing at day one, each of us will have a slightly different experience because the levels will look probably a little bit different, youll meet different kind of monsters than I do, and the weather will be different, and so on and so forth.
I love everything I'm seeing except the number pop ups on bullet dmg. Should be easy enough to turn off though. Adding loot to Shadow Warrior hits all the right buttons for me personally.
I understand that hating on procedural generations the thing now after NMS .... but can anyone explain what exactly is proceduraly generated here??? The loot??

thx for a person like me who finsihed both SW and Hard Reset couple times this is realyl good news , was worried its something weird , but I guess word procedural gen. triggers some distasteful reactions in some people just by itself even before reading the actual details on how its usedSee Mr. Tibbs' post above. Essentially, levels are composed of tiles and those that do not contain a story-related event are randomly generated. The game isn't procedurally generated in the generally-understood sense that there's effectively no end, so it's not quite like, say, Strafe.
It's not a "knee jerk" reaction to not be interested in a game that is basically changing genres. Good or not I'm out because the new stuff is not what got me into the first game.game looks great to me
sad to see negative knee jerk reactions here tbh
the devs have proven themselves enough
Wow, that looks fantastic. Here's a stream live now: https://www.twitch.tv/matthewmcmuscles/mobile
iic you can turn that offn a sale rather than day-one.
