The demos are playable on PS4.
Can't be disappointed about this, personally. The car has been advertised as a place of relaxation where you listen to music and do some "fast travel" between large distances. Whether this is true, I wouldn't take the car off-road since I can ride a chocobo (and what's better than that?)!
I do wonder how they would make that plausible, though. Never-ending guard rails seems like an excessively lame solution!

For sure, but it bodes well considering the delay. If they can alleviate some of the performance concerns with two extra months that can only be a good thing.

Tssk, tssk, so many people are freaking out over this. Aside from the performance issues -- which they are fixing now that the game is delayed -- the original leak didn't sound too bad. The story, when summarized like that, isn't any worse than most FF games (especially VII and VIII).
As for the world, some parts may be bland and empty (though I don't think there will be many sidequests there) but I'll personally tolerate that since we also get the environments shown in the World of Wonder trailer. Well I think it's easier to do just collision detection for flying and make you explode when you hit a rock, than for QA to make sure you won't get stuck anywhere when you drive in rough terrain.

Story sounds actually okay, it's what happens in the in between that's important. The reason FFXIII was such a disaster on the story front was because it was an overly convoluted mess. Keeping it (relatively) simple is a smart decision.
I'm infinitely more concerned about all the other horrible shit the leak said.

But the car in this game can fly. I'm not asking for it to land in every situation, but on a pretty flat bed of grass or a rock, the car should be able to land. It just seems silly to make a car a plane that can go anywhere but be severely limited to where it can actually land.

I'm on the same boat. As someone that's been more of a KH fan than a FF fan since the end of the PS2 era I've been hoping to see FF With that style of gameplay. It's so bizarre that this is Nomura's game and story and they switched him for someone else, especially for such an expensive project. It's weird that the leak mentions Nomura being kicked out due to him wanting a trilogy and then FF7 was announced to be one as well. Maybe they greenlight FF7 despite previously saying they weren't going to do it until they made a game that surpassed it because they knew this one wasn't going to turn out well

There's only 2 leakers that have confirmed the chapter 0 info before today. The first leaker, and the second leaker who corroborated what the first leaker said but also provided some new confirmed info of his own (like knowing of Iris before the last brother episode aired, older Noct design description, etc.) and was more positive. Basically the two leakers you posted in the OP are the ones that mentioned chapter 0 correctly.
I found that far funnier than I should've.
It's a good point though, present any Final Fantasy story in this way and it all looks bad.

Well the demo is said to be right from the start of the game to however long they're allowed to play. So that pic we don't know at what point they are in the game.
So whatever footage we get can be many different things.
