Last time I said ambitious and ffxv together....it didn't end well heads upIron Giant encounter was cool. I like open worlds that feel riddled with danger, like that asshole T-Rex in the first open zone in XII.
Also ya'll need to calm down on your firm best game ever or worst game ever stances. Everything about this looks ambitious, occasionally beautiful but with flaws, some of them serious.
Really? Post some of my quotes.
Bullshit. It runs fine so far in the video.
the line readings are dead, characters like cidney have cartoonish accents, there's no positional audio, the text doesn't sound like how english speaking people speak, and the lip synching is off. but yes i suspect if you are a fan of anime stuff these problems are par for the course.
I think the voice actors sound fine, honestly. It's the limited facial animation that makes it all feel weird and inhuman.
Are all those people complaining about the J-Popification of this game satisfied?

Got the wrong image the first time.
I was gonna say.
Next-gen food.
The aliasing is making my eyes bleed. Really hoping they can do something about that for the Neo upgrade.
I'm still working on my preview for work, but I just wanted to hop in and say I played this same build for over 4 hours.
I'd say my mood on it is below those incredibly ecstatic in this thread but also above the doomsayers; I'm somewhat in the middle. I was deeply skeptical of FF15 however and I did leave this preview hands-on with far more interest and excitement in the game. It was far from ready though, and I can see why the delay was absolutely necessary. It does indeed run better than the last time we saw it, but in my time with it I also experienced multiple nasty crashes and a boss broke, making progression impossible twice, forcing a reset to last save.
But I love the combat, the banter between the guys, etc. There's a lot to be excited about. I'll have a full preview really shortly, but yeah.
Is the Japanese dub an option in the English version? That should make things more bearable.
One of Gameblog's journalists (not me) got to play FF XV for more than two hours and here is some new info:
-Less aliasing and framerate drops than in the first demo
-The game lets you hear music from old Final Fantasy games during road trips (FF VI and FF VIII songs are available from the start)
-You can change the characters' outfits whenever you want
-The size of the map is huge. The Duscae demo was less 1/5 the size of the full game's map
-The opening cinematic contains spoilers

Pretty sure along with the French and German dub.
Old Noctis looks awful.

It's everything really, can you imagine walking down the street and seeing this from across the street?I think the voice actors sound fine, honestly. It's the limited facial animation that makes it all feel weird and inhuman.
Couldn't read through all the pages but how much spoilery is it after all?
Flying slashes out here cor the man
How could this game have been released next month? Bewildering.
I feel like it needs another year of polish.
