Ugh, God. Somebody please tell me it's confirmed that the final game will have the Japanese voice track because I really can't stand the English VA, especially Ignis.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I won't jump the gun and assume the story is going to mediocre since I never read the spoilers for the plot that leaked. I mean, it can't be worse than FF XIII, right? I'm so tempted to watch that 30 minute video, but I'd rather wait until the games release.

Already got spoiled on the older version of Noctis a few posts ago. That design looks really good though.

Noctis is sent off to marry Luna, his childhood friend, in order to secure the peace for his kingdom. Once he has left the capital, the empire attacks the kindgom and kills his father. Luna, learning the truth about the empire's intentions, starts her own journey to awaken the lost summons all over the world.

Noctis learns that the king is now dead and gets fustrated because he couldn't say goodbye to his father one last time. He decides to go to Altissia to meet Luna, who's been held captive by the empire. Before Noctis gets there, hell breaks loose in Altissia and Luna scapes awaking Leviathan.

After that, Noctis chases Luna around the world while learning that he needs to gather the power of the ancient kings in order to prevent the world from falling into despair. When he finally gets to Luna, the bad evil guy finally reveals himself as the first guardian/king of the crystal. The only way Noctis can beat him is to sacrifice 10 years of his life to gather the power of the world's lifestream.

10 years later, Noctis and his friends finally return home with one last mission, take back the throne and save the world.

It's all about presentation. inb4 "it still sounds bad as hell lmao" posts.

I'm not sure if I'm interested in this game or not.

This game went from a must have day one to let's see what the reviews/Gaf impressions and maybe a price drop.

I posted this in the other thread first but it already got buried in the FFXV vs Witcher 3 discussion. It's also much more relevant in this thread.

The new video gives more credibility to the negativity in the first leak:

At the end of the video (52:14) is this scene with Ardyn from the Uncovered trailer: https://youtu.be/CX5D4Fenz5g?t=40s
In the Uncovered trailer, he says: "I can guide you -- in fact, only I can." to which Ignis replies "What are you plotting?"
But in this video Ardyn goes on about the Archaean instead and Ignis doesn't say a thing. That means the English script is either vastly different from the Japanese (which would sadly lead to unmatching subtitles) or they were still rewriting stuff back in March (which would confirm some of the negativity from the first 4chan leak).

Oh shit, just got to about 40 minutes into the video. More outfits. Sweet! I wonder if we'll just unlock them, or if we'd have to pay for them.

I find myself liking those team attack things quite a bit more than I expected. They seem pretty cool and the combat does look good. So far, I don't really see any problems.

You only go into Lucis for the final boss fight, so don't get excited about it. The other cities are JRPG town sized, nothing special. Most of the map is empty land.

"Decent haircut"? You can say what you want about Noctis, but you probably could not say that the guy doesn't care about his hair. His aged look doesn't even have a haircut anymore, it just grows out of his hair which is why it looks so messy.

I haven't even watch the full video from start to finish yet and now am wanting this game even more.

I didn't read shit out of the 4chan or any other spoilers (I did click a few other spoilers that did spoil some stuff for me ), but I'm not expecting an amazing storyline here. In fact, generally speaking, I think most mainline FF's have a really good story. I didn't care much for FFXIII's trilogy, because it was really hard to follow everything, but this seems far more easier to comprehend. I want FFXV in my hands right now, and I want FFXVI to be announced for release sometime in the future.

I just don't get their logic. They look like different characters.

Just because they have rapid aging doesn't mean they become someone else. Maybe I need a better look at Noctis' face, I dunno.
