Final Fantasy XV - 50 min video

Fuck it, I caved and watched it. Really, really liked it. There were so many mechanics we haven't known yet. It's all coming together and for the first time it seemed like an actual game. All the nitpicking about small technical stuff is so irrelevant, honestly. You won't notice while playing and having fun. Loved how you can customize the outfits and even have non-black clothing. Never expected them to budge on that aspect - guess the feedback was unequivocal. The VA is very uneven (Prompto will never not be annoying and grating), the rest I got used to and actually liked in the end - Cor sounded perfect. Music was great and there are still so many songs we haven't heard yet. I still find the "enemy near" alarm jingle annoying and I would've liked a less bombastic battle theme intro for every small mob you encounter. Something a bit more subdued would've been nice. But that's minor stuff you'll get over as long as you enjoy the rest of the game :)

Super positive on the game now. Graphics and performance will improve over the next months, anyway, and even post-release. The most important thing is that the game seems like a big, fun adventure. Good thing they took another 2 months. I think, I wouldn't even mind another few months until Spring '17 even, as long as they can deliver a solid game. You know, it doesn't even have to be the Game of the Forever, just a great game. FFXVI will benefit so much from the experience SE gained and the catching-up they done for FFXV. Can't wait for the future, we're blessed. Tabata era. Ifrit represent. Balee dat.

Fuck this is how feel. This footage really told me that there is no need to be worried. I think I should go on media blackout now though. I feel like I've seen to much already.

I love that he has like 18 belts and even one unbuckled hanging around his neck.

Nomura might have a problem.

Just finished watched the video, and from that alone, I would have absolutely no idea what the actual plot of the game is other than Final Fantasy: The Broventure. The entirely of Chapter 1 with Cindy (I thought it was Cidney?) seems incredibly annoying and pointless.

I really didn't think the voice acting was that bad, though.

The English va is fucking awful, however for me that's really only the big shit point. I'll stick the Japanese go and forget about it.

Apart from that everything else looks good, damn good even. Sure the aliasing is bad but ill play this on pic so the visuals will be better.

Roll on 29/11, will check out the reviews.

Has there been an official statement about the ability to switch between Japanese and English VO? Because I don't think I can deal with the English voice acting I am afraid...

Dual audio will be in the final release.

Dependeing where you are you get a few choices.

Like for US I think its just: Eng, Jap.

Think Latin america get 3.

So we can expect Noctis to evolve like a pokemon at some point during the game. Franchise redeemed.

I'm exciting to get my hands on this.

After watching the full video, it looks like a fun game. My only problem is with the bizarrely poor english voice work. It isn't the 90s/early 00's anymore, I expect much better.

I thought those leaks were confirmed fake by actual developers. How come everything is still lining up so well? (In regards to the first 3 minutes)

wait wait wait

it took 25 hours to fully complete the 3 chapters? Dear heavens.......they probably didn't even get close to the water capital either

I highlighted the three regions on the world map. There's still plenty of places to see.

EDIT: fixed the Leide western border.

EDIT2: Added the area of Episode Duscae.

I wonder if they cut down that map any?

Here's hoping they didn't... there's so much possibility...

Europe gets French and German, apparently.

The French version should probably be in the NA one for Canada's sake, but I don't know if that's confirmed.

It's like FF12 large hub sections but it follows a linear path. So I think there's a possibility for more. When it comes to big cities I believe Atlissia is going to be the biggest and the others are decent sized.

I wonder if Solhiem still exists. Some speculated it does cause the airships are labeled SAF. Kingglaive spoiler:
Also they made a big point of mentioning immigrants/refugees in KG
that some think Solhiem is where they're from.

I appreciate all these spoiler-free impressions that you guys have been giving. I didn't want to watch the video so this appreciated.

If what you guys are saying is true, I have even more reason to be excited.

I don't care about hair pixelation or glossy finishes or any of that stuff. If the story is good and if the game runs smooth enough then that's acceptable.

I'm french Canadian and every big triple A so far had the game dubbed or subbed in french, so we'll probably get it in french as well.

It should be pretty easy for them to add additional voices as DLC, so Europe can also get Japanese, I hope they do that.

Oh, to be clear, I think Europe is getting French and German in addition to Japanese and English.

I don't know if any other languages have been confirmed since, but that's what I remember reading.

French, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese tend to be pretty standard for NA releases. I'm sure we'll get it too then. No reason why not if it exists.

The one example I remember recently, Xenoblade X didn't have French subs at launch, but they did get patched in later... So like you said, I thiiiiiink it'll be included.

So far we have Tenabrae, Atlissia and Lestallum. You're probably right there's room for more. ( I don't count Insommia since it's a fairly linear affair) but there's a lot of big cities and small towns.

The PS Access video someone had around here gave away no story spoilers and they even specifically state it before talking about the game.

Yes there are a few scenes with subs.....but if you have watched all the trailers up to now.....its nothing that you don't already know. Mostly all gameplay impressions.

I'm quite not liking it. Seems too Xenoblade X to me, which is bad.

Xenoblade X was terrible imo due to a massive open world.....with a pallette skill gameplay. I don't feel like smashing skills because my team mates yell shit. It got boring and old very, very fast. I have played Duscae alone 20x longer than xenoblade x. Plus the characters in X and the models made me want to puke.

Sorry if someone has already suggested this, but maybe Chapter 0 is mostly omitted in this demo, just to give a teaser of the fact that it's a flashforward.some

Also the VA has sounded decent enough so far but the audio mixing is really bad. They should hire DICE ersumshit.
