Final Fantasy XV - 50 min video

Watched the footage last night, it doesn't look too bad to be honest. Looking forward to the Neo patched version for even better graphics or performance but the standard version still looks pretty decent overall.

Fk you Tabata.
Fk you Tabata. That's all I have to say. Is this what you (Tabata) consider good design?
Ok. Tabata, Ok. Pls explain this.

If you're going to make multiple posts on a single page addressing Tabata I might suggest trying the official FF15 forums. He responds there sometimes.

Old Nocts looks like the he's the younger version of that guy with the honey brown eyes in the slides of all those characters in the end of that E3 Nomura trailer

Me too. I'd prefer if I could play a younger version of Oldtis rather than who they have now.

Nahhh

There's not many AAA games with asian fashion style, why so against it?

Noctis look cool to me, if you don't like it its not like you ran out of stock of game character that looks came from standard fare.

Aranea continues to look like the most interesting thing in the game.
No offense but Geralt has quite the stupid face ingame, dude has literally no expression (so much different from cgi or artwork) also his hair is worse with hairworks on lol.
Geralt has some of the most detailed facial animations ever. Come on now.

She's been the most interesting thing since 2011 :P
She'll probably be a minor, one off villain. Its how these things tend to go >:(

I saw Hajime Tabata at a grocery store in Cologne yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like eight Cup Noodles in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the cups and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each cup and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Because young Noctis looks like a mix between some girls and cosplay guys I know. I'm just not a big fan of that "look" and would prefer something like:

or

or even

Edit: That might've come off as offensive, but I just don't like that style. Different strokes.

Its the case of the ascended extra. She was probably just a one off faceless mook in Versus, now she has a face and a name and everything

roflmao, he has no expression, did you play the game?

LOL

No seriously though

LMAO

He always has that dumb look on his face. Perhaps that's the way they intended it to be but I hate it.
I'm not talking about his cutscene face either, ingame face as in when you are strolling around and pan the camera on his face.

We'll never know. In a just world, the ascension would be until she became the main antagonist or a party guest (TABATA, MAKE THIS HAPPEN!)

Please be real.

Ohhh. Meme I dont know.

Wasn't that even confirmed by Nomura in an interview from 2011? I was surprised to see her again because of this.

It was just to try and keep consumer confidence, like keeping stella's model while changing the character, and stuff like that.

They have to, to a certain degree, keep up the allusion that things have not drastically changed, and since she has been a subject of conversation for years, it makes sense to put her in the game.

Please tell me you are joking?!!

He sounds crazed

Thanks!

Agreed. OG Regis all the way.

Completely agree. OG Regis was fantastic, and I don't really like this Old Noctis too much.

Game still looks really good though.

She's been the most interesting thing since 2011 :P

Yeah, she probably won't last long.

If nothing else, this game will have one hell of a sweet soundtrack.
I'm really impressed with what Yoko Shimomura has put together here.

Also feel the localization crew should be cut some slack. Only one voice came off as woefully miscast (that reporter dude at the 26-minute mark; voice didn't fit his look at all) and the delivery elsewhere seemed serviceable. Not a great dub by any means but not abominable, either. It's the dialogue that's been written that is egregiously bad in spots... not how it's being delivered.

The only exception to you're view i find is in how Ignis delivers some of his lines. He very often pops his P's and "tuhh"'s his T's. Its rudimentary voice acting, but its also on the dub director for not catching that shit.

Doesn't the power of Regis and noctis come from the power of the crystal? How does that work when there city is taken within the first few chapters of the game? Wouldn't noctis weaken or lose his powers?

It's actually explained in Kingsglaive.

Eh, I'm not exactly raving about the dub either. Just saying it's fine. Your objection is a valid one, though. The engineer should definitely be picking up on those gaffes if the director misses them. They also went out of their way to cast a predominantly live-action performer as Ignis instead of someone with formal voice training and/or experience.

I'm starting to think that we get to play as Old Noct a lot longer than we think. Feels weird for Square to release HD model of Old Noct if he's only gonna be part of the ending. I have a feeling that this change will occur in the beginning of the third act. Chapter 0 gives us a glimpse of that third act. I think
Noct and Co go and kill Ifrit/Ardyn whoever is the final boss and reclaim the throne. Doing this will cause the Red Night/Plague of Stars. We'll be able to explore the world in during this event ala FFVI (Tabata's favorite FF ;)). We'll probably battle against the God figures/KOTR to end it. It coincides with what the leak described as to how Versus XIII was going to be structured with the third game being Noct against the Gods.

Who knows. Now I'm just setting myself up for disappointment.
