I like TF2. Too bad the connection problems render it almost unplayable now.

Some gameplay of me dominating...but also slowly realizing this game is bland as fuck. Seems like development by focus group unfortunately.
I enjoyed TF1, though didn't get into the community heavily. But my understanding was that the issues most people had with the game were about content, customisation and single-player. I though the general consensus was that they absolutely NAILED the gameplay re. movement, shooting, Titans etc. Maybe I'm wrong on that?

I really want to love this game, as I loved the first, but this might explain why EA is pushing it out right next to Battlefield.
they got the hipfire right, picking off pilots at medium rang with no ADS with R-201
please dont change this

Definitely havent heard them stomping around on top, was actually hoping it was just because it was beta, but have quickly lost faith in that idea, lol.
You can only hear them jumping OFF, not ON... Which is extremely dumb...
Is it just me or the range on the carabine is waaaaaaaaay to good?
I remember reading a couples week back that the game should be delayed a bit to let it have a chance to succeed. N ow I think they should delay it to change a lot of the core ideas of the game. :/
Tf1 always felt like a cod- styled shooter but with it's own DNA. It was all about fast movement, verticality and freedom of movement enabled by parkour, massive scale battles with loads of ai fodder, and the regular inclusion of fun to use and useful titans all within very well crafted maps supporting all of this.
Tf2 removed virtually all of this and now feels like cod but with some parkour and occasional robots. It's lost what made titanfall it's own thing. It's slower, maps are wide open limiting the movement the amazing movement of the first game and promoting camping, ai bots are all but gone (at least in the capacity of the first), and titans are rare and shitty.
Such a disaster of epic proportions and I'm super sad
But even then it's not a bad first impression lol. It's still better than the best of COD. It's fun. I can't deny that this tech-test isn't fun.
It's just that i played a hell of a lot of Titanfall 1. I was obsessed with it, so compared to that it's a really big letdown.
They need to make serious adjustments immediately.
Carbine with extended mag was all you needed in Titanfall 1 most of the time, you only changed it up if you were bored.

I agree. That's the funny thing, Titanfall 1 feels like the sequel to this game.
That footage 2:00 or so in where it's just a wide open field with pilots shooting at each other in stationary positions crouching behind rocks and in bushes. Wtf is this shit!?
In end game meta G2A4 and R97 are the best weapons. Post nerf R101 wasn't that OP.
Interesting 'bug' when the orange part of the score counter slowly counts down when you are not earning points, forcing you to keep the action up. Sounds like an intended thing to me.Growing on me a bit.
Off the top of my head:
Add back gradual titan meter (they said it was a bug so well see)
I liked using the G2A4, it was a fun weapon but I forget what perks I had on it to make it good for me.
I agree.
So much of what made Titanfall special to me just isn't here, but I don't believe it's broke beyond repair, I just hope they listen to feedback.
And hopefully Homestead isn't representative of the rest of the maps in the final game.
I wish you could shoot while grappling. One thing that Blops 3 did that I really appreciated was the "Guns up" approach. There was hardly ever a moment that you couldn't shoot your gun.
Is this really, really laggy for anyone else?
Realistically, is there any chance that all the other concerns people have raised in this thread will be at least considered before release? Or is it too late for that?Balancing grapple took a long time, over a year and a half. No-shooting-while-grappling went a long way towards achieving that balance.
It's kinda way too late to make all the changes that would be required.

How do you get out the Titan without ejecting?

A delay into Q1 2017 would be the right decision for so many reasons.

Yeah, it's disappointing. This might be their last chance to turn TF into a major annual FPS (on the scale of COD and BF, I mean), and messing up many of the core elements they got right the first time doesn't seem the right way to do it.I hope I'm wrong but I won't count on it. There isn't even a "we know your feedback and will look at things" vague response.
I just played my first match of the weekend, and yeah, it was borderline unplayable, right up until the moment when the server died.
Hold X/Square. And yes don't eject, it is a quick death ticket.
