Ardyn, Aranea, Verstael are all by Ferrari. I'm willing to bet Iris is by Nomura, considering he designed Gladio and he always had siblings that were mentioned in his character synopses. I'm willing to bet Cidney was by Ferrari from Versus as well. Both Ferrari and Nomura haven't been in touch with Tabata's staff.

Iris gives my Yuffie vibes so it is likely Nomura's design.

Looked way cooler in the afrojack trailer.

Wonder what other scenes Tabata will re-use in the game for the Versus fans, as an easter egg or nod to them.
 
Something that just occurred to me looking over some of the footage again. How do none of the party know who Ardyn is? They seem rightly suspicious but not on the level I would expect of meeting a guy who essentially runs the political side of the Empire.

Her battle cry alone makes me wanna play in Japanese dub it's soooo good. Don't think the English dub will pull it off

Frame rate is generally fine for the 'Master' version but can still drop during particle heavy effects like magic.

Now they just need to work on the visuals and as Tabata said, meet their visual target.

Not sure, the buzz saw certainly took me by surprise. It'd be neat if there were some fist weapons.

I'm also very curious about the Ascension system. Everyone's grids only seemed to take up half the space so I'm wondering if they'll fill in again later on? Perhaps Armiger abilities aren't opened up at first?

Was really hoping other ff protags weapons were in but they seem to be used as pre order dlc for other versions and only cosmetic

But maybe improving those visuals might lower the framerate again?

Although I have to say, I have no issues with the performance and IQ of that first chapter, the desert area is just really boring, and maybe intentionally done. I don't think it's a good "first impression" starting location

Yea I can understand feeling like that. Deserts aren't really my favorite locations.
 
I think FF15 does one thing better than FF12 already...

It gets you out of the boring ass desert sand-coloured environments in the first hours. (Dungeons notwithstanding)

Yeah it's a shame. I noticed several countries seemed to have ones specific to them but wasn't sure what the one for US was. Is it the Masamune? It is a shame they only seem cosmetic since it'd be neat if they all had special traits like maybe the IX weapon has a steal ability when hitting foes.

Yea we get Masamune which..eh I'd have preferred lightnings sword
 
So how exactly do we "break" an enemy in this one? It seems like all Noctis does is randomly swing around and then they enter this "vulnerable state".
 
do we know how many cities are actually confirmed in this game (that we can visit)

we have lestallum and Altissia (which is probably gonne be the Novigrad of this Game)

Warp strike from a distance seems to do it. I'm sure some skills will and the broadsword down analog charge swing(or rather the technique tempest) does it as well
 
I just realized this game is more than 3 months away. wow. that's a quarter of one year

should be plenty time to get through half of dragon quest 7 at least
