My Söldner X Soundtrack Bundle arrived today, which is awesome. No missing or wrong items.

The CD case has a little crack on the backside. Should i contact them, or does it make me look too crazy?
I wanted to keep my Limited Run Games stuff sealed and in perfect condition.

I'd say that's within normal tolerances. It's tiny.

Is that the back of the soundtrack? Seems like a no biggie to me.

Yep, it's the back.
It is really small and you can not even feel it.
I think it doesn't hurt too much.
And the game is in perfect condition.

I do not want to make Limited Run Games any unnecessary trouble, so i will just accept that tiny crack.

I'm very specific about the condition of my stuff, but in this case I'd probably just open it and replace the case. Or at least you know you have the option of doing that, should you ever open it.

Wow there's still SC? Combination of a higher than usual print run and PS4 not being a popular with their buyers as Vita I guess.

Only a few hundreds are left though, which means >90% sold out within 24 hours. Looks like the print run was spot on and even the 2 units/customer was a good limit. I wonder what the sweet spot for most Vita games would be though? 4k? 5k?

Indeed, kudos to those who estimated this print !

From what I see, no Shadow Complex has successfully been sold on eBay yet. Contrary to Rainbow Moon.

So did I hear they are doing releases every two weeks in September? Anyone know if that will be 2 releases each time? I have a vacation next month so I am worried I will miss one.

Yeah, these last few copies aren't shifting too quickly. Judging by their Twitter, 10 hrs to go from 600 -> 450, then another 2 hours to go from 450 -> 400.

At least there's not loads left like the RCR run, and it's still much better judged meaning there's likely to be no scalping on them. I hope they got them sold fairly quickly though, because I remember reading that they pump the money from the sales straight back into printing new games.

We're down below 350 now, so it's moving brisk enough. Most our our customers were asleep during the 10 hours last night.

Oddworld was in stock about this long and I'd say that still ended up being pretty rare!

Selling out in 2-3 days is perfect for everyone involved.

I'd say this is ideal. It's a LRG totle so it WILL sell out fairly quickly, anyways. These bigger stock numbers give more people a chance to grab, and never leave the company sitting on any unsold, leftover stock.

My eBay receipt history doesn't remember the Vita version being in stock anywhere near this long :(

PS4 was what I was referring to, which makes this an apt comparison since SCR is PS4 as well. Most Vita games have flown in a couple hours (SMRPG and Octodad being the slowest sellers).

Almost down to just 250 copies left.

Was the PS4 version really around for this long? Wowzers. I always thought Oddworld was under-estimated considering it's such a long-running IP (that used to get physical releases in previous gens!) Maybe I'm wrong on that. Few extra copies wouldn't have gone amiss though :P

I got my Soldner X2 today! Very excited. I then realized that I didn't get the little postcard thing and sticker. Very sad. I emailed them to see if they could maaaaybe send it with my Rainbow Moon order.

F it. I pushed some things around and ordered Shadow Complex.

I am super close to doing the same thing. If someone were to buy one of my items in the B/S/T thread, I would buy Shadow Complex in two seconds.

Yea, but not going to happen. It sets a bad precedent in terms of hype. If anyone with average interest could have it, half of this thread wouldnt be buying I suspect.

Btw: managed to buy this after something like 2 days of of internet blackout from my data provider. Yea, theres also people like me.

Also: is iam8bit the new "competitor" in the limited run biz that was mentioned some pages earlier?

Please don't. I don't want to miss one because I'm adding another to the basket.
they're not selling out that fast. you have plenty time to add multiple items to your cart. more games on the same day saves international users a lot on shipping costs.

Most people in this thread genuinely like physical games. The rarity is a necessity, not the main draw.

I don't think they printed any yet what with the October shipment. I imagine the number we are seeing is a placeholder.

I think I'm going to hold off on Rez unless they announce the size of the print run. To say it's "limited" and then not give a size seems a little suspect to me.

Maybe.

Let's say one hour, then. Hell, half an hour :p

Obviously it's very hard (hell, impossible) to always hit that mark!

they'll print as many as they need to fulfill pre orders. It's limited in the sense that after that, there won't be more

I see. That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. Maybe I'll get one after all. This will be the fifth (!) time I've bought Rez.

I saw in their press release that "previous editions of Rez are really hard to find" or something, which strikes me as BS since the Qubed compilation for 360 can be had for $4 on Amazon.

Guess you only need to read about the comments on REZ slow shifting stock to see what I mean.

Also my favourite: "I could buy two games from LRG for that price!"

This business has almost nothing to do with games at this point. Half of the titles are - lets be good - mediocre, and yet there you have people complaining about fucking REZ for the high run numbers.

I can only speak for myself but I would have purchased SCR and Rainbow Moon even if they were mass produced and sold everywhere. TBH the having to press F5 and rush through checkout is kinda annoying and tiresome.

I picked up a couple of games that I would never have bought otherwise: Octodad, Shadow Complex, Breach & Clear.

I buy them due to them being collectible and don't want to miss out on them later, as that's something I do in general, however I am consistent at least, I bought RCR, Rez, Shovel Knight Vita, and any other ones I see. If they were not limited, i'd buy most of them later at a cheaper price, so my main goal is to have them, but unfortunately most people only see the appeal BECAUSE they are collectible. Much like Amiibo, you had tons of people going in for chars they didn't even know about just because, once they became common no one cared (aside me, I have them all :p )

This sounds exactly like me. I would've got Rainbow Moon at some point, but having this this limited, makes me get them asap. Of course, some people are getting all the LRG games, some getting all the Vita titles, and for things like Amiibo, I got them all because they are pretty awesome and more affordable than the picks. I have to pick and chose my battles though, since I have so many collectible things I buy.

Rainbow Moon is such a bad game that I have no idea why anyone would buy it other than to keep a collection complete.

Well someone here played it 300+ hours, so try to be less judgmental.
It may be a bad game but you shouldn't diminish people who are enjoying it.

(and I say that even though I'm pretty sure I won't like it because of all the necessary grinding)
