Hope not. Steven needs to grow tall or reach 15 first
That all depends on how mature he feels he is. He can't force it.

quoting for importance and visibilityAnd people said there's no path for Jasper to be redeemed.
After shes defeated by Steven and Amethyst, Jasper refuses the help that Steven gave to previous adversaries like Peridot and Lapis. Why is that?
Jasper is very different than Peridot and Lapis. Unlike them, she has a deep hate for herself because of her origins on Earth. She is determined to never be weak or vulnerable. So at the point when shes the lowest, theres no way shed ever accept help, because she believes she doesnt deserve it.
Peridot and Lapis both believed they deserved better than what happened to them, but not Jasper. She went back to Earth to face her demons, and she lost. Shes consumed by her own self pity.
Hit the road jack!

New episode of Steven Universe this Thursday 8/25/16 at 7:00 PM on Cartoon Network!
Mindful Education!
Boarded by Colin Howard, Jeff Liu and Rebecca Sugar. I participate as an animator. This is the first collaboration of Steven Crewniverse and studio TRIGGER!
Rebecca-san, from the bottom of my heart, I’m most grateful to have been given this opportunity. And let me express my heartfelt appreciation to all of the staff!
So...I think I know where they're going with this...and I know family shows have done it before...but I'm still surprised they're doing an episode about it. If that's what it's about...almost made it to Thursday without a single leak
EDIT: another promo image, this time from Hori-san

I think I know what Geist is talking about.
You know how caterpillars turn into butterflies?
Well when kids hit a certain age...

have caution
If it's what we think it is, my respect for the show will grow even more.
Yup. I'm getting that feeling. Are you thinking about Aisle 8A?
Yup. I'm getting that feeling.
It's going to be so real you'll question reality itselfThis episode is going to get really real
Steven Universe's animation is not very good on average. The art direction is good so it still looks nice but the animation just isn't.
I even hung up on my own mother. The characters even have the same name.
There was an episode of Braceface whereSo going with what people in this thread are theorizing it's gonna be about, what other cartoons have tackled things like this?
Only example i can think is that Pepper Ann episodeabout bras.
There was an episode of Braceface where.Sharon gets her first period
We could be reading it all wrong, though. Might just beMaybe.Connie feeling inadequate now that everyone is pushing for Stevonnie, like she herself doesn't have any value to Steven and the Gems unless she's part of a fusion.
Please don't start hashtag teams over predicting this.
thanks for this, I am not gonna use it here so someone else can, but I will use it on a different siteSomeone was nice enough to remove the text from Jeff's promo gif, in case they wanted a clean version of it:

And I made an transparent avatar out of it for whomever wants it:

If those predictions are true, then (actual spoilers)what the hell does Sapphire do in this episode? SU eps don't have B-plots very often.

Nah, as an artist and animator (or basically a person who cares about the way a cartoon show looks and moves more than I probably should...) myself I completely disagree.
There are episodes here and there that are admittedly kind of wonky-looking from both an art direction and animation standpoint (the board-driven production has a lot to do with this considering they're basically like key animators), but on average SU is a very well-animated TV-budgeted show.
Saying "Finally good animation!" is kind of a crappy and insulting thing to say considering the work and effort put into the production of this show.
At the end of the day though, we can agree to disagree; animation is more art than science.
The Art of Steven Universe is the first book to take fans behind the scenes of the groundbreaking and boundlessly creative Cartoon Network animated series Steven Universe. The eponymous Steven is a boy whoalongside his mentors, the Crystal Gems (Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl)must learn to use his inherited powers to protect his home, Beach City, from the forces of evil. Bursting with concept art, production samples, early sketches, storyboards, and exclusive commentary, this lavishly illustrated companion book offers a meticulous written and visual history of the show, as well as an all-access tour of the creative teams process. The Art of Steven Universe reveals how creator Rebecca Sugar, the writers, the animators, and the voice actors work in tandem to bring this adventure-packed television series to life.
