Eagles-GAF what do you think of our running back situation going forward? I was on board with drafting a top RB in the 1st round next year but the way Smallwood and Barner ran the ball on Sunday, maybe we don't have to. It might be better to focus on the offensive line, try to find a replacement for Peters.

Power rankings are garbage.

Power rankings in week 3 are the seagull shit on the garbage.

Also, sports media fellates the Cowboys and Patriots because of their fanbases. Cowboys have been mostly mediocre for decades but everyone still talks about them all the time. Not exactly shocking that media personalities pander to a particular demographic at the expense of it being a "hot take" to the rest of sports fans. Colin Cowherd is also a giant fan of the big market teams and literally hates it when a small market team wins.

They desperately need to address the OL, even if the backs sucked this year OL is a much bigger concern.

We shouldn't draft a RB in the 1st round.

We need a line and weapons for our boy Wentz.

We have a lot of holes on the roster. We need depth everywhere.

As a Falcons fan it warms my heart to see a Packers fan recognize this

We're currently at #17 on the power rankings (behind NYG and Bengals) after putting 45 on a team in their hometown on a big night when the Giants only put up 16 while NO was on their turf.

#17... when our QB is currently the highest rated in the NFL, Devonta Freeman is #5 on RB yardage, and TeCo is rolling in TDs

Yeah I was just thinking that. Smallwood looked good as did Barner. And, drafting another RB next year would potentially make us have 5 RBs on the roster, and if they're a 1st round pick they'd be expected to contribute immediately, bumping these guys off.

I have two hangups with our current roster tho. First, Barner is actually only a year younger than Mathews at 27. He's got fresh legs but that's already getting up there in years. And related to that, even though we have 4 RBs now, by 2018 I'd expect Mathews and Sproles to be off the roster, and maybe Barner too. This is shaping up to be a historic class for RBs, and I'd hate passing up giving Wentz a franchise RB to grow with in upcoming years. Combining a workhorse with what Smallwood showed would do wonders for the offense. Plus, I really want Doug to get Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey seems like he can be lined up anywhere instead of just being a straight bruising back, and I'd love to see that with Doug's creative playcalling.

On the other hand, building up the OL is much more important than getting a RB, and if we could get a RT to take over for Lane once Peters retired that would be amazing. And it's also discounting that maybe in 2 years there will be another stud RB class. Maybe we could target a Tackle in the 1st round and then grab whatever top RB falls to the 2nd. Overall, the running game has really only had one good week, last week. Against the Browns and Bears they were mostly ineffective save for one or two big breaks. Let's see how the rest of the season plays out, and go from there. OL is probably more important, but if there's a chance at McCaffrey I'd want him.

I think at this moment, my draft choices would be McCaffrey -> Jabrill Peppers -> best OL available for the 1st round.

A Safety and three corners covering Landry, I love Gases play designs so far even though his play calling has been questionable.

I also like Smallwood and Barner, but depending on their draft position in a draft deep with RB talent I wouldn't be against them taking one either. Also, while we will need a replacement for Peters in the near future, so far this season he looks better than he had the last two years under Chip by far. I think he has more in the tank than people think, and if they can restructure him for another two years it would be worthwhile. I would say the positions of largest need are LB and WR for next year, with CB, OT, and RB lesser concerns. CB could be a primary concern but Carroll and Mills have been amazing so far, and McKelvin is due back after the bye week, so they might be in better shape there than we expect. One more solid LB and I think the defense would be a complete package.

All-22 of the Eagles D destroying the Pittsburgh O

Some tidbits:

Antonio Brown was the most productive and most targeted receiver in the entire league on third down entering the game. Brown had six catches for 104 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets on third down prior to Sunday.

Against the Eagles? One target. Zero catches.

(The Eagles) were able to sack, pressure, hit, force him (Big Ben) to move in the pocket or take away a throwing lane on 45 percent of his dropbacks.

I've been saying the Eagles front seven has been one of the best in the league for a while now, but it was hard to see it because Billy Davis was such a terrible D-coordinator. It's nice to see some vindication once these guys were properly coached.

Law enforcement is reportedly still looking for the license plate number of the semi that ran over the New Orleans Saints last night... anyone with any information please write it down and flush it down the toilet so it gets to them ASAP

Wentz is the first player in league history with 100-plus attempts, 60-plus completions, five-plus touchdowns and zero interceptions in his first three games.

His 102 passes without an interception are the most ever to begin a season by a rookie QB, according to Elias Sports research.

PFF (and Armando) Break down of game...it ain't pretty....

Highlights:
DeVante Parker caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Tannehill in the first quarter. But I'm told the Dolphins are not pleased. It seems coaches want more production and more effort from Parker.

While Tannehill was only sacked once and hit twice more, three of the Dolphins' offensive linemen (Branden Albert, Laremy Tunsil and Jermon Bushrod) surrendered five hurries apiece. Only Ja'Wuan James had allowed that many in the first two games of the season combined for the Dolphins' offensive line.

Ndamukong Suh earned an overall grade of 82.4, third best on the Dolphins' defense, but was the only Dolphin defensive tackle to earn a grade above 60. So maybe now you understand why the Browns were able to rush for 169 yards and averaged 5.3 yards per run. The play of the Dolphins' other defensive tackles and the linebackers behind them helped the Browns gain 4.25 yards per carry on runs between the tackles.

Cameron Wake played a season high 35 snaps and was a force as a pass rusher from the outset with strip sack on the opening drive. Wake's seven pressures (one hit, six hurries) were his most in almost a year and helped him earn the highest overall grade on the Miami defense this week (85.3).

Safety Reshad Jones racked up six defensive stops, tied for the second most in a single game in his entire career. Jones was a force around the line of scrimmage against run and pass, particularly early in the game when the Browns first started rolling in Terrelle Pryor at quarterback. Jones also notched his first sack since Week 10 last season against the Eagles (another six stop performance).

Miami LB Jelani Jenkins recorded the Dolphins' lowest PFF grade (37.3) in Week Three. Jenkins recorded one tackle in defense of 24 rushing attempts compared to two missed tackles. He allowed his lone coverage snap to gain 10 yards after the catch while missing a third tackle and was flagged for a roughing the passer penalty during seven empty attempts rushing the quarterback.

Jenkins had more missed tackles (3) than he made solo tackles (2). Despite playing 150 snaps thus far this season, Jenkins has only recorded five solo tackles and ranks as PFF's worst 4-3 OLB in run defense.

Tannehill was effective at throwing the ball downfield against the Browns. He completed 11 of 16 passes to the intermediate level of the field (10-19 yards downfield).

On the season, Landry has been targeted 32 times -- also most in the NFL.

After starting TE Jordan Cameron left with an injury after just 12 snaps, Dion Sims took over and played 60 snaps and was the highest graded player on the team (tied with Landry). He was exceptional as a run blocker, grading out as PFF's No. 1 run blocking TE in Week 3.

The Miami offensive line struggled all afternoon, as all five starters graded out very poorly. They allowed a ridiculous 19 total pressures on 40 passing plays, although Tannehill was only sacked one time. Facing no pressure, Tannehill was 16-of-22 for 207 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception and a NFL QB Rating of 113.3. Under pressure, however, he was 9-of-17 for 112 yards, one touchdown, one interception and a rating of 68.7.

Parker all but disappeared in the second half...that oline is getting worse somehow...we need Pouncey back, wake and jones are still amazing, suh is dominating but everyone else around him (LBs especially) are just so terrible that it doesn't matter what he does. Jenkins needs to go, Maxwell has been pretty bad, Alonso has been good in run stoppage but terrible in coverage, Howard has done alright for being a rookie, Drake needs to take on the role of main RB and it's nice to have Sims back there for pass protection but we need a pass catching TE...the Cameron project is a complete failure.

McCaffrey would be a great replacement for Sproles. Although Sproles amazingly still has yet to lose a step, so is it worth drafting his replacement yet?

I think we could definitely use some depth at LB, but I like our starters. I've been especially impressed with Bradham.

At WR, what we need is a true no. 1 and I'm not sure we can find that where we will likely be drafting. I think I'd rather dip into the FA market with that.

I think CB is a pretty big need though. Mills has looked OK, but we need more young talent back there.

No, he's lost a step. He's still shifty, but he's definitely lost a step

If he's got the promised pass-catching ability, I'd give Smallwood the future Sproles nod. I think McCaffrey can be more of a Westbrook type back. And I agree with your WR and LB thoughts. Try to get a stud FA WR, and focus on other aspects of the team. That's why I'd like Jabrill Peppers, I feel like he can be a Safety LB hybrid. Considering Kendricks has been either off the field or ineffective, being able to play with our back 7 being Peppers, Hicks, Bradham, Jenkins, McLeod, and however are our corners sound awesome.
