So I got a code from Amazon during the free code bonanza and registered it, then got a code from the place where I bought my 1070 two weeks ago. I've been holding on to the second code in order to sell it on ebay, but I see now that Nvidia has taken down the website?

Any chance it will come back up, or should I contact them?

First of all, there is a way to "upgrade" your digital order. Just cancel the one you have and order the version you want. The only reason you are having this problem is because you got the base game for free.

Secondly, there really isn't anything funny about fucking with a guy just trying to do his job. He wasn't enjoying it.

No, they actually don't. They need clearance and the credit they give out in some instances isn't generated out by them, it comes from someone above them. I am an Xbox One developer, and while I don't work in customer service I'm familiar enough with the system to know that no, they cannot and do not have access to something that lets them just click and generate a code for anything. Even as the developers of our own games we can't just click and generate a code for anything, what makes you think low customer service reps can?

EDIT: For what it's worth I thought your treatment was rude but not anywhere near as despicable as some of the others on here did. I'm more irritated by your entitlement and the fact that you're dead convinced that what you asked wasn't unreasonable and is easily done by them.

Yeah I had it before and it says play and then displays "Purchase this app again, When you got a refund on Gears of War 4 it was removed from your device"

I havent done anything with this since I redeemed the code like a week ago so what did Microsoft do??

Presumably you guys bought glitched codes and I would be taking it up with who sold you them. If they don't work with you, file a paypal dispute.

Dispute on PP. PP heavily favors the buyer in disputes, though I wouldn't mention it was a digital item. That + the fact the guy will probably have a TON of disputes going on and probably won't bother to refute them means you'll likely get your money back, if not directly from him, then from Paypal who will then bill him.

I sent a request to the person I bought the code from, even though he deleted his reddit account, i still have his paypal info.

If that doesn't work? Then just move on, gotta go in knowing the risks on second hand pricing mistakes like this.

Most likely. If you are a valid key owner then you can dispute with Nvidia with proof of purchase probably.

I logged in and out and its still the same problem. I contacted someone else who also bought a code from the seller that I did and they were able to download theirs just fine so I dont know whats going on.

I can't check on my Xbox, because it shows up there anyway because I bought the game there on my family account, and it's still showing up on my personal account on PC (where I redeemed the code) but how do I know that's not because it's downloaded?

Can I see a list of all owned games somewhere on Xbox.com?

Check on Windows 10 store, just enter the game name, go to the store pages.

Xbox.com doesn't track Win 10 purchases as far as I can see, just lists Coming Soon.

To be honest I'd feel shitty if I end up managing to keep it while people who paid for codes lose it... In that scenario I'd rather they removed mine aswell.

Maybe they're only disabling codes from people who abused it like crazy to get a ton of codes? I only did it the once.
