Does it stick 0/1000 to your profile?
Does it matter, haha.
I sent my copy back without opening it, so at least now I can try it. I would have left it sitting with FH3 out.

Never thought I'd see the day when Microsoft would have a demo that has a shorter shelf life than a Nintendo digital title.
The funny thing is the negative reaction was mainly reviewers. I feel like most people who've played it really enjoy it who weren't reviewing it, no idea why that is.
I'm guessing if we were reviewing it it'd score lower also due to some technical issues, but in the end it's a ton of fun.
Downloaded, will see if it's as bad as the critical consensus.
Is the download up? i'm not seeing it
anybody got link to web download?
30 min should be enough for the initial dungeon30 mins only, I was hoping for a real demo
That was ..... something... i guess
out of these 30 minutes
...5 minutes spent on initial loading
... the another 5 spent on various laodings of Xbox app
....which crashed ... so it needed anothe 5 to get actually into the game
... ingame res locked to 1280x720 :-( and ingame loading superfast
as for the game itself platforming is really nice , combat is serviceable ... overall I kinda like it
although the experience with the store/xbox app was bad enough to never ever consider buying something in Win10Store ... even if its masterpiece
i guess its a trial thingIs the resolution issue because it's a trial? I'm able to play at a higher resolution.
Also, if you hadn't used the Xbox app yet prior to trying ReCore, then it would take more time for everything to sync and link. After that, it's fairly smooth.
i guess its a trial thing
well thw xbox app was fast on second try but for some strange reasonit crashed couple times .... but why the hell i should use xbox app when i am already logged in with the same account in the store ... just a winstore/uwp mess ..... might probably buy the game if it ever hits some actual PC store and not a store/platform which looks like bastard child of XboxLive and AppleStore with featureset worse than old 2004 green steam and requiring two logins of the same account
Probably the whole training area and little dungeon, not bad for a demo I guess...
This is a great idea, maybe more people will pick it up...I want to see more Joule, she is a good new heroine IMHO.
i guess its a trial thing
Impressions say the game starts off strong then drops off a cliff after an hour or two, so this is a clever idea. Might give it a shot anyway since it's free.
Just tried it out. Damn, this game sucks... a lot. The artstyle is pretty ugly and the game just doesn't come together visually at all. It's a really ugly, in-cohesive looking game. The animations are sub-par, often janky. The story seems to be "don't give a shit" tier. I can usually forgive all of that but the main combat loop is a snooze, boring and seems super simplistic. I literally just sorta held the right and left mouse buttons and killed everything, including the first "boss", if you want to call it that. The lock-on system just doesn't work on a mouse and keyboard. I feel like I have less control and it doesn't really add anything to it so far. I couldn't find an option to turn it off. But yea, 30 minutes of holding the right mouse button and left mouse button. No thanks.
Dave said:[0min59sec] ...The environments here are largely beautiful with accomplished lighting and some very well done surface shaders and effects work. In fact the visual aspect is what really stood out for me when I first picked out this particular title. For one this is a game that's using [the Unity engine], and most Unity titles out there aren't that impressive. But not ReCore: combined with a solid soundtrack and decent voice acting, the game doesn't take long to really get you immersed in the experience... [7min04sec] ...although performance really could be better, it's not a complete dealbreaker, and combat still comes across as pretty exciting, just not as polished as it perhaps could be... [8min40sec] ...Overall, I really enjoyed ReCore, the Metroid-style gameplay and the beautiful aesthetics with the visuals, something I simply didn't expect from a Unity engine game. ReCore definitely looks like a big-budget AAA title. It's not a perfect game by any means, and the performance could be improved on Xbox One, but overall it's a decent-looking title that has several captivating elements to it...
Should've at least been an hour.Ok but 30 min is nothing.
You get achievements through this.
The time restriction is on the system level, so you're basically just playing the game normally otherwise.

Playing on an SSD. Didn't catch the initial ingame loading time, but loading screens were all shorter than 10 seconds. Includes crawler -> granite steps and steps -> basin.
I keep getting a "Try that again" error when trying to download it...
Also getting the same error when trying to buy Gears 4, urgh.
This sure is helpful:

ha! any easy cheevos to grab in 30min?
Try this:
http://aka.ms/diag_apps10
Download and run that.
Then when it is finished, press 'Windows Key + R', then run "wsreset.exe"; which will reset the store.
Let me know if that clears anything up for you.
