PSILY guys didn't mention anything either. It's different experiences across the board. I don't get the obsession with GB here, it's detail reviews of the device, are people not reading?

- One of the most comfortable VR
- Move controllers are outdated but work
- Screen not as clear as PC VR
- Games are smaller in scope and scale
- Great potential
- Fair price
- Ok to wait for a true must have
- Tracking can be wonky game-to-game basis
When does the PSILY podcast go up to download usually?

There are actually objectives to complete with various levels of success (which they're kinda ignoring). It's also, again, a game that is MUCH more fun being IN it than just watching.

You really have to make your own fun in Job Simulator though (in my opinion). Simply following directions gets old incredibly fast regardless of how silly you are being with it. Of course this all comes down to my personal experience.

Wrong about commas, wrong about everything
Job Simulator seems like a thing that's fun to mess around with for like 10 minutes and then fall into a deep despair cause you just spent 500-800$ on VR.

It's a great introduction to VR. The writing is really great, too. It's legitimately funny.

Of everything they have showed in all of these streams is the one thing I've thought "Yup, I would play this". It just seems like such a clever idea with great implementation. And yeah, it looks like it's really funny.

This exact comment was made about the exact same game in the HTC Vive launch thread, except it was "not $800 fun".

Was it me? I wouldn't be surprised if I'm on a loop. I'm really curious about what Google will do with VR since it's so cheap compared to this and way more portable.

No, I agree, but just clarifying that it isn't just a sandbox

1) It's not 10 minutes if fun (more like 2-3 hours :-D)

2) I hope you don't drop $400 on a PSVR and only buy one $20 game for it, heh

It gave me two VR 'firsts':

- Pouring liquid from one cup into another cup is just fascinating.. I could do it for hours.

- When I opened the fridge, I could swear I felt a real chill.

The thing is that Vive's room-scale tracking (besides offering accurate positioning for movement) also ensures that the actual core stability is extremely solid.

If PSVR has problematic tracking (due to Sony's strange decision to use the old motion controllers/PS camera?) it is basically DOA. Any type of micro judder or involuntary movement will cause intense nausea.

It's strange seeing people discuss PSVR as if this is the first time anyone's used it. I've used it three times at Best Buy, saw other people use it there, there's a big thread of people on gaf that's used it at Best Buy and Gamestop, it's been at trade shows, no one's had a problem until today.

The difference is today is the first time it's been set up by end users, and it's apparently pickier than expected. Hopefully it's not too hard to get working right.

I'm still going to get PSVR since I don't feel like building a $1,000 PC and paying another $800 for the headset. I want Vive, but I can wait for a while and deal with Sony for the time being.

On a bit of a delay as I took a break but Thumper looks fucking insane. Like some kind of crazy extra dimensional high with fractals and super complicated maths and space bugs.

I dunno how hard or how fun it'd be to actually play and not so much a fan of the "music" (percussion really), but damn, if it doesn't have a style and look visually interesting.
