I can't believe it, this team actually has looked like a fun team to watch again. Not just this game but the last couple. It's like night and day from last year.

LARKIN!

I feel bad but I'm gonna have to watch the WS tonight. Not a Cubs fan or anything but fuck the Indians hope the Cubbies wreck shit

Saddest part about the 2nd goal is that Andersen was about to recover and clear the puck to the boards. He just needed his strong, stay-at-home defenceman to make a defensive play.

missed the goals. Were they actually all on Andersen?

1st one, no, and Hunwick scored it. 2nd one, sorta.

30 Thoughts:

12. To that end, the Jets are committed to Josh Morrissey. It wasn’t easy for Paul Maurice to scratch Mark Stuart (and Chris Thorburn) from the Heritage Classic, but they want him to learn. Morrissey shared some great insight into playing with Dustin Byfuglien, calling him a excellent partner with one (tongue-in-cheek) exception. “I’ll go off after 30 seconds, and he’ll say, ‘You’re never going to keep up with my minute-long shifts if you do that,’” Morrissey laughed. He added there have been times Byfuglien has yelled at him to stay on the ice when he’s gone for a change.

Buff is the best.

I honestly don't think I want Kronwall to play when he is actually healthy, Sproul has looked great and the rest of the D is pulling their weight as well, even... dare I say it, Ericsson.
Yeah, I'm kinda worried to see what happens when he comes back in. We actually have 3 right handed shots on D dressed tonight, one on each pairing. Dunno if Marchenko or Ouellete is better, but Sproul looks better than both of them.

I'm really glad Taylor Hall is scoring but I'm starting to wonder about the rest of the roster. Taylor can't be the only person finding the back of the net here.

Edit: Taylor now has 5 goals which is the same number of goals the rest of the team has COMBINED.

When healthy, Holland will demand Blashill put Kronwall in the first D pair and will force him to do so even though the current grouping looks way better and Kronwall has sucked the last couple of years. Hollands gonna Holland.

Friedman on Toronto's goaltending in 30 thoughts

10. One goalie coach on Toronto’s Frederik Andersen: “Everything stems from the fact he can’t get his feet set.” Mike Babcock likes his goalies to be aggressive, and Andersen is still getting used to that. All of the difficulties (including trouble catching the puck) stem from the footwork.

Will we have any options with regards to his contract, other than hoping a team looking to get to the cap floor would take his contract? Like a buyout, or the minors or anything?

Also, #FreeFrankieC
