I didn't know if it should be or not, that's why I was asking. I'm not from the US so I don't know the ins and outs of the system. I was curious to know as if it were a private letter then I'd be inclined to say that it's someone other than the FBI guy who had an agenda, but if it's public (as already confirmed, thanks), it feels like it was a political move by the FBI guy. Not saying there's any truth to that, just that it could be perceived like that.

First the official email scandal report in August which tore Hillary Clinton a new one, before the 2nd day private report which let people know of the details and why they couldn't find anything wrong with HRC because what few classified emails they did find were incorrectly marked and were not seen as such, and now waiting till 1 week before the election for something as vague as this, just to cast doubt?
Hope he gets fired.

I have had to explain to a Trump supporting friend why nuking Syria is a bad idea. A presidential candidate is trying to normalize WMD use. The supporter is college educated too. Thank god he's registered in Illinois so his vote doesn't matter.
I'd also like to think that Obama would just bury the nuclear football somewhere so the tangerine menace can't kill us all.

Okay, so 1) There's nothing in there that states Clinton may have been hiding something in the prior investigation. There's nothing in there about "reopening the Clinton case". They only want to use evidence gathered from the earlier investigation for "an unrelated case".
2) Why was this even made public? How often does the FBI director send letters stating, "so, umm...we need to look into evidence submitted in Case A for some other thing in Case B. K THX."?
If this was for an unrelated thing, why make this such a big deal that it needs to be made public?
