Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

I haven't ordered SkkullGirls yet because I don't have to. I'd rather lose my money at a later date. The final numbers are what matters, not the Day 1 numbers.

Sales are front loaded usually.
But maybe many like me are waiting for Volume so we can buy them together.

That remains to be seen. There are numerous special circumstances in this case which makes it impossible to compare to other LRG releases. Had it been $24.99, possible to co-ship with another release and only available today then I would have bought it. I didn't, yet.

The problem is that a lot of people put it off and then eventually decide they don't really need it or worse, they forget to place their orders. That impulse, time limited purchase does a lot.

I'm putting it off to synch up with getting paid. No rush, there's plenty of time and I won't be forgetting. That money could be doing other things right now, though.

Waiting for Volume too.
We don't know how many games will be preordered in the end. "Day one preorders" are not a "proof" of success nor failure.
Some are just too eager to discard the preorder system without giving it a fair chance.
Whatever happens, I'm glad this experience takes place.

Most Kickstarter gets a huge boost on final day or when it is close to meeting stretch goals, so I won't worry too much. On Friday they will sell volume, and most won't just be buying one game.

I've not bothered preordering Skullgirls yet either, waiting to align it up with Volume to save on shipping since it's already going to be pretty pricey to get copies of each.

Same. One of the reasons I prefer this way Is theres no need to rush it.

We put together an image of the Skullgirls bundle to replace the one that's up there now, so you can get a sense of what it all looks like together.

I hope the Stranger's Wrath physical release is going to have a preorder like Skull Girls. I prefer to be less stressed when it comes to buying games.

Love the tiny Vita cart, but I don't think they're THAT small :p

Thanks for the communication and listening to requests, that's how it should be done :)

Maybe the game is actually just shipping pre-installed on recycled 4GB memory cards with stickers on them. Gotta do something with them, since no one wants less than 8GB.

Reminds me of the memory card stickers that use to come in PSM magazine back in the day. I loved those.

absolutely joking, in case it's not obvious

tracking for OWH finally updated. Was getting slightly worried. So if you're still waiting, soon! Probably

Perhaps tomorrow then... I'm still sitting on the initial and nothing beyond...

10/18/2016 : Parcel Data Received, Shipment In Route To US Export Warehouse

...

Glad the bundle option for Skullgirls ended up happening, like with others will bundle with Volume, I own it digitally so there is no impact by waiting for the arrival.

It's kind of worrying when you've placed a $100.00+ order & you hear nothing for 5 weeks...

I'm not that fussed (at the moment), it's heading to Australia and in the past we have about a 2-3 shipping period turnaround when that first update hits.

A mate of mine had his first update on the 8th and the next scan was on the 22nd, he received it on the 27th, basically 3 weeks and that is something we have seen before. I've seen a parcel in the past not be scanned in, and just suddenly arrive, at the moment I might be lucky to receive it by the end of the week. If there is nothing received or updated by next Monday, that's when I would lodge an "official"query.

I'll be there still on Nov 4th for Volume still!

Yeah I know that feeling. Sorry if I made you more anxious with the update, was supposed to be the opposite! Shipping took a bit longer than I'm used to to Germany as well. Most of the time, everything works out in the end!

My OWH arrived on Friday if that makes anyone feel better (or worse), UK gamer here.

Took much longer than any previous game but still got here at least!

I don't understand why anyone would worry, I trust LRG blindly - there's no way you won't receive all of the games you ordered. Sucks to wait, but I don't mind since I don't open mine anyway.

I trust LRG (I've bought every game/OST), but when it's "in route to US Export Warehouse" & stays like that for two weeks, who is responsible then? Still LRG or the shipping company?

It did actually, knowing I wasn't alone having "issues"... not that I actually them issues...

I do... if I didn't, I would have dropped off the releases long ago... they do a fantastic job for a 2 person team!

Hehe. No worries. :) It's always helpful to see what state other people's orders are at.

Can you please tell us what EU countries have duty paid upfront? For the past 5 orders i paid about 20€ each in customs.

Romanian customer here.

Well I'm an idiot. My Hot Pink Envelope has been sitting in the community mailbox since Friday and I hadn't bothered checking mail and tracking since Thursday afternoon. As of Thursday afternoon it still wasn't showing it had arrived in Canada and all other orders have gone to Quebec first and then made their way across Canada so had no reason to think it would show up when it did. For some reason this time it came directly to Calgary from the US though so once it cleared customs Thursday night it was delivered the next day. That poor Hot Pink Envelope spending four cold nights in a community mailbox while I was oblivious to it being delivered =P

Don't worry yet about Thomas and OWH. It was our biggest run and we shipped it with just two people. No one's orders are lost - in fact, the final 300 international parcels literally just hit the export center on Saturday. Sorry this one took so long! We've got more people helping with shipment going forward and we're in the process of moving into a warehouse to really speed things up and make fulfillment a breeze.

All good, perhaps a suggestion going forward, I should preface that I haven't been really looking for this and it might be something that you have addressed before the above post.

When the final batch is out the door, just an update somewhere (GAF or Twitter) that "The final batch of {Game X} left our premise on {Insert Date}", sure we don't know what batch we are in, but we can apply our approximate shipping times from the end date before looking to chase up any possible issues.

I was super excited to be able to purchase the Skullgirls PS4 release, but the USD -> CAD conversion rate and the $15 USD shipping for a single polypacket breaks the deal for me.

I'll see if I can't scrounge up the money, but that shipping hurts.

There's a list of countries in the FAQ section of the LRG website

We can no longer mark shipments as a gift; However, have quite a few countries on our list of DDP which means no taxes or additional fees for your shipment. We are currently looking to add even more countries to this list. Please be patient with us!

Countries with DDP:

Spain
UK
France
Germany
Poland
Sweden
The Netherlands
Czech Republic
Finland
Belgium
Canada
Portugal

You'll get the games eventually, a friend of mine just had a problem with an order and they promised to fix it, and no doubt the shipping companies make mistakes.

Any chance Indivisible gets the same physical release treatment as Skullgirls? Would love to see a soundtrack release too cuz Kikuta.

Indivisible will have a full retail release from 505 Games.

However, the physical release from the campaign will get the full treatment you're seeing here and then some, since it's $60 and exclusive to the campaign.

We'll be putting out a mock-up of the Indivisible LE physical release as soon as we clear some paperwork with one of the first parties, and I think a lot of digital-only peeps will want to upgrade after they see it.

So glad after seeing Skullgirls that I put in for the physical Indivisible release.
