Blizzcon 2016 - THE YEAR OF THE DEVIL? WE SHALL SEE!

Which Blizzcon announcement are you most hyped for?

Any Diablo news would have me poppin'. I don't care if it's another expansion for D3, an HD remake for D2, or an announcement of D4...whose release will probably coincide with my retirement.

I'm a heavy World of Warcraft player so any news there would be most welcome. The one thing I really want announced is world quests all over Azeroth, not just Broken Isles.

I'm excited! I didn't purchase a virtual ticket because life as a father to a 1 year old means I wouldn't be watching much of it anyway. But I'll be checking this thread out vigorously for updates!

I deserve a new, REAL Diablo.

Diablo 3 was fun especially after they got rid of the AH BS so we could actually get good gear drops. The console version were pretty amazing and more fun to play with a controller, imo.

I feel like you should point out that the opening ceremony - where all the big announcements are made - and the esports stuff are free to stream. Everywhere I look there seems to be people who think it's all locked behind the virtual ticket.

Anyway, hyped as always. Will be strange without the Metzen intro though. Crossing my fingers for Malthael in HotS (again).

Hyped for:
  • Hearthstone Tournament
  • Hearthstone new content
  • Overwatch new content (Kinda soured on Sombra tho)

Get hype!

So... If by the grace of our lord and saviour RNGesus D4 or D3EXP2 make an appearance... can I expect the return of the dinosaur?

Cause something has been missing in the community for a long time.

Can't believe this is tomorrow. Apparently going to have some big Diablo news, so thats cool. Though Legion just came out, I guess they can talk about new patches or something.

I sometimes get the virtual ticket, but I'm going to take another pass this year. The news comes out so fast to other places and I don't need yet another Murloc pet.

I'll take anything Diablo, i'd go crazy for a new expansion with a new act and hero, but i'd prefer Diablo 4 the most. Leave the past behind and start from scratch.

I want it to be D4 or a D2 remake. As much as i have loved my time with D3 i want something substantial and new rather than an hour or two of a new act then back to the grind.

Not many Heroes of The Storm fans on here, but that's what I'm looking forward to hearing about most this Blizzcon. They've doubled down on our E-sports scene and added so much based on community feedback. Hopefully they keep the big push to broaden the appeal of the game as I think many are missing out! :)

I love Heroes (way more than LoL) but I have the same problem with it that most people have with League. The community is toxic and MOBAs just bring out the absolute worst in people. The things I hear my friends say....and the funny part is it never happens with Overwatch.

I'm cautiously optimistic on Diablo news. I think a D3 expansion is quite unlikely. If I had to rank them in order of plausibility I'd go D4, D3, expansion, nothing, 2000 feet of dirt, Diablo 2 HD remake.

This is the first season I'm not playing D3. Way too burned out at this point and with hardly any changes.

Diablo 4 is 100% not happening. People who believe otherwise don't know jack about Blizzard.

As far as expansion and D2 remaster, could be. I'm not really that interested in D2 remaster unless they also improve gameplay which would be controversial and is unlikely, but I'd definitely get another D3 expansion. I still have my doubts whether it could reinvigorate my fire for long but I'm curious about what major additions they could've in store for an exp.

What i hope for:

- Warcraft 4
- 2017 PVE content teasing for Wow (to get hype here i need all-in-atmospheric stuff, not teen and pokemon stuff)
- Diablo 4

What i think we will get:

- Diablo 3 expansion
- Usual Wow panels

Diablo III isn't real Diablo?

Surely not the best.
It was fun, i played it for many hours but it lacks...something.
I don't feel it a "real" Diablo, btw i bought it on PC, PS3 and PS4.
I'm not very coherent, i must admit :D

P.s.: In next Diablo they NEED to do something against cheaters on consoles.

Are the goodies automatically tied to the BNet account you purchase the ticket on? I wondering if the codes are swappable - if Blizzcon virtual tickets deserve a loot begging thread.

I really want that Hearthstone card back, but not for $40.

I'd accept any unwanted Bastion skins. :P

Shit I got work when the ceremony starts :( will there be an archive?
It's usually gets uploaded on youtube pretty fast, so yeah, you'll be able to see it.
If you got a virtual ticket you can watch it on the Blizzcon site.

They better get it right with this HS expansion because if not, I am probably done.

Agreed. I've been playing frequently since beta and have had no desire to play at all recently. So sick of Shaman. Will be in for HS and Overwatch news.

I'm looking forward to the news for what's in-store with the Diablo & Overwatch series. I'll be happy with whatever they will announce for Overwatch, but I do hope a new expansion and one or two character classes will be included for Diablo III.

He can also watch it on Twitch or MLG.tv for free without a virtual ticket.

Yuuuuus love seeing this thread pop up every year. Sloppy Yoshi OT best OT.

No hype train image this year though?

So glad I'm off tomorrow. Super excited to see what Diablo stuff ends up being announced!

I wonder if they will show a new Overwatch cinematic, that'd be awesome.

He can also watch it on Twitch or MLG.tv for free without a virtual ticket.
I meant they'll have it archived on the Blizzcon site, in case he had a ticket. But yes, a lot of places he can watch it.

The art style is very Diablo 3 ish, would be a bit odd if it's from Diablo 4 with the very same art style.
One would think they'd try to differenciate D4 from the previous game a bit.

In for Diablo 4 and/or Diablo 2 Remaster and/or Diablo 3 Expansion and/or Diablo 1 Remake.
D1 remake would be great if they could do it faithfully, but I kind of doubt that they would. D2 and especially D3 have moved so far away from the slow, deliberate pace of D1 and toward the "slaughter hordes of demons as a demigod" idea that it's hard to imagine a remake without some of that mindset seeping in

The biggest kick in the balls will be if they release the Necro like paid DLC, essentially making him a 'prestige' class, but aren't interested in making a full-on expansion around it.

Only bought the digital ticket for those murloc pets. since nothing on this year's Blizzcon is of my interest, between panels that supposedly won't be covered by the ticket, a final act I don't know nor care about and not expecting much of impact to come out of it.
I do hope they prove me wrong and announce an awesome D3 expansion though.

Looking forward to the usual hero and map announcements for HOTS and OW, expansion announcement for HS.

Hoping for something new for Diablo, whether it's D4 (unlikely) or a new expansion or new hero.

Hoping we finally get some legacy game remaster announcements, too!

I realized that Diablo 1 is the only Diablo I ever liked. Slap some HD on that and add in whatever battle.net shenanigans that they always seem to think everyone wants and I will buy it.

Bought the VT with blizzard currency I got via trades at Gamestop so at least no money out of pocket for once.

Looking forward to the Hearthstone/Overwatch announcements and panel. Diablo is clearly either getting a new game announced or an expansion but if it was Diablo 4 I think there would be more panels announced for it... unless its REALLY far away.

Hearthstone will clearly be whatever new expansion they got incoming hopefully the launch either isn't far away or if it is (like next year) it'll reset standard. Assuming its the former more so then the latter.

Overwatch and Sombra is a given but what I hope is like SOMBRA AVAILABLE TODAY FOR EVERYONE then like oh yeah theres a few other characters were working on and they show what they've got planned for those characters and have them playable at Blizzcon for people to try out. Oh and maps, I really really hope we get a few new maps or even a new game mode based off the Halloween Brawl.

WoW is pretty meh for me atm, They might tease 7.2 but the second raid for this tier isn't even until next year (unless they are literally holding the raid back for 7.2 launch) and after seeing the ending of that raid I find it hard to believe they'll start teasing 7.2 already when that raid isn't even coming out for at least another 2 months. They might mention a 7.1.5 patch or something though with some new bosses or something like that. I enjoyed playing Legion for the first few weeks and it still feels like theres a lot to do but I just don't have the time for it anymore and as much as I want to see the story play out I'll likely just watch Nobbels lore videos if anything at this point XD

Heroes of the Storm will get some new content... I've never been into the game so I really don't care but it does seem like the MOBA crazy has died down somewhat now, or at least its clearly hit its peak and isn't getting the same kind of attention that they used to. I know a lot of people are still playing them and watching them but I'm just not seeing tons of threads about them or news articles about them or that kind of thing when even a year ago you couldn't go a month without some crazy news dropping about one of the different MOBAs. I don't want people to think that I'm saying the genre is dying or anything like that, I'm not I just think the super craze that spawned dozens of clones/alternatives is over much like what happened to the MMO genre when wow was at its peak what 7-9 years ago? You had all these games come out after the fact that just tried to be like WoW BUT DIFFERENT and the wow craze lessened and the genre in general got less attention then it once had. Same kind of thing here from what I've been seeing but again as someone who never was into MOBA's maybe not being in the scene I'm just talking out of my ass XD

Blizzcon should be interesting this year, although I'll be really curious how they do the opening event with Metzen, he is literally the hype machine and I don't know if they could ever come close to getting anyone to get the crowd (both online and at the event) as excited as he could. Still hoping for a surpise Warcraft 4 or Warcraft 1-3 remake or something to be announced.

I've got maybe... 8 panels I'm planning to watch plus the hearthstone tournament (Go Amensiac, win more and get me more free packs XD)

Edit: For clarification since I've seen several posts hoping for Legacy server announcements for WoW, they already said they aren't going to talk about it. If were lucky they might at least hint they are working on it but don't count on much if anything being said at all.
