Did I say something funny?

Edit: Ah yes ok, so @Kerotan is indeed a 12 years old warrior laughing as soon as it's something Xbox.

I guess it's becoming harder and harder to find video game enthusiasts on a... video game forum.

Those 4 games are releasing on PS5 too so there is no warring to have. I guess some people need this to not feel empty.
The problem is that except for Forza which will be at least solid and with great setting, the rest are a complete crapshoot. I would love to see a great Fable game, but who the hell knows right now.

So you played Fable and Gears? Good to know, can you please tell me more about Fable as it's one of my most anticipated game. I'm a big fan of the franchise so eager to know more.

I completely understand why Halo CE doesn't seems very interesting since it's a remake, but Gears, Fable and Forza are three major titles different enough that at least one of them is attractive to most players.
As you said, who knows? As a gamer don't you think it's pretty great to see these 4 legendary Xbox licences the same year? Imagine Sony releasing a new Uncharted, a Killzone remake, a new Driveclub and Spider-Man 3 all the same year. That would be insane.

Btw Gears 4 was bad but Gears 5 is pretty good and Hivebusters is REALLY good. So I think Gears E-Day is gonna be just fine. Forza it's almost a guaranteed success, the only big question is Fable but with Xbox taking it's time with it, I'm hopeful.

And these will releases on PS5 too!

I was really hyped about Fable until they showed off Fable. Hopefully the next showing is a hell of a lot better.

The rest.....meh

We haven't seen jack from Fable to be able to judge which way it's going to go. And the studio that is making Fable is most known for their driving games.

Gears has not done well in the last several games. So again we have no idea of what is going to happen but considering overall output from MS owned studios, skepticism is not unjustified.

Halo - apparently it is outsourced so who knows.

This is why folks aren't particularly excited.

Edit: I didn't like neither 4 nor 5 personally so…

It is a good campaign, afterall.

And outside of some areas like The Library, it doesn't overstay its welcome either.
I think if a good studio got a hold of it and enhanced the game without losing what makes Halo interesting, it could work.

Instead we have remains of 343 and Virtuos outsourcing. I have yet to see a well done Virtuos game. Oblivion is kind of trash performance wise.

I picked Fable, although I'm doubtful that it will actually release in 2026, and if it does release, I'm sure it will be filled with ugly characters and woke nonsense.

Newer Gears games usually have a solid step up in gameplay.

Hopefully we can get a step up over what was in Gears 5.

X360 Gears games lack a lot of mobility and fluidity that newer games have. CQC is so much fun in Gears 5.

Would be surprised if Fable was anything more than serviceable. Pretty graphics is most I expect out of it.
I tried to get into the newer ones but I just can't do it anymore. I waited like a decade thinking I just needed time but nope went back and just the first encounter let me know I was not into this type of combat anymore.

Give me all the power I can get for GTA 6
And as long as there aren't any exclusives people just can't live without (or gamers who are balls deep into the Sony eco system), does it really matter what brand the box under your telly has. If Xbox reveals a device with an enticing power/price ratio I can easily understand someone getting it.

I've been saving/planning for a '27 living room PC purchase with the upcoming chips. But if Xbox integrates Steam I might be swayed that way. Time will tell.

There was an old Halo doc that said they intended the library segment to be open, but with any level of optimization they couldn't work that on the original xbox, and so we ended up with the series of tubes towards the middle-end that did take you out of the campaign a bit

But where they're talking about brand new levels in this as well, I wonder if they'll revisit and rework that?

"new halo" and it's a bastardised remake of Halo 1 running on the game logic of Halo Reach's version of Blam...
