New Wonder Woman Trailer

I was hoping for more steampunk fantasy WWI weirdness, but I can understand why they're not doing that. The juxtaposition with the Amazonian world wouldn't be as stark.

Chris Pine elevates that trailer. I'm not hating or anything but everything else looked a bit..dunno just off. Preferred the last trailer.

Dat Pine tho, I really wished he'd been cast as Hal Jordan.

Admittedly I'm only going off BvS and these trailers, but Gal Gadot seems like an awful actress. Hope the film is decent anyway.

Can someone gif and create a still of the shot of Wonder Woman after she's steps out of the trench, blocks the bullet and then you see that full body shot of her please.

That shot looks amazing.

Where's Hades and Ares and the giant monsters overrunning the WW1 setting? This looks boring...

Kinda does look like it's falling victim to the same missed opportunities as the Thor movies.

Seriously, there's a reason why most of the creators to tackle Wonder Woman in the past thirty years have focused heavily on the mythological elements. Granted, that's not the only valid take on the character - Morrison's WW: Earth One has hardly any of it and is excellent - but unless WB is willing to go full Marston, that seems to be by far the most interesting and unique story avenue to pursue.

But instead, we seem to be getting a Captain America: TFA-esque plot where the villains are mad scientists who I guess are experimenting with Olympian artifacts to make magical mustard gas or some shit. It could still manage to be a decent film, but this strikes me as a missed opportunity.

Well, to be fair. if Gods and monsters ran around during WW1 it would make the public reaction to Superman in MoS and BvS seem rather stupid. I think they are already pushing it a bit as is.

It's not like they haven't already shown themselves willing to play fast and loose with this sort of thing, i.e. everyone being pretty blase about Katana's powers in Suicide Squad.

I think the trailer is fine for the most part. I kinda want the movie to surprise me and I know I won't get the surprises in the trailer, so I'm left feeling a little underwhelmed.

Still, the action looks on point. I wish it was rated R.

The beginning feels like the usual bleak snyder garbage, and then tries to have a light jokey ending. Not sure where they're going with it.

Hope it's good, but not feeling it yet. That WW theme at the end still rocks though.

I saw you crashed your plane Mr. Chris Pine, I have acquired a new one for you.

Where?

Your leaning to it.

*cue ww theme*

And I want her to interrogate someone with the lasso.

And Diana says, "I've killed things from other worlds before." as she faces down Doomsday like it's any other Tuesday.

Who knows. Things appear to get bombastic and magical in that nighttime scene.

Obviously I don't want a throwaway CG baddie in the third act. I want a fantasy movie in an urban period setting.

Then that brings up issue that this universe has to accept monsters in WW1 yet never seen anything like Batman or Aliens fighting over a city. If had monsters on rampage before they would not shrug over aliens and Superman causing a change in the world they keep bringing up.

Then again we already got a meta human in Wonder Woman in WW1that has be covered up

Waiting for reviews as always. Also that theme is hella annoying at this point, doesn't even match the character/movie.

Vaguely interested in this, mainly because I really want to like a Wonder Woman film and the trailer isn't setting off any immediate red flags aside from being a DCEU film. Also, that blue-grey filter over all of the color to make it more gritty and dark is driving me mad.

I'm indifferent on this. I doubt it will be offensively bad like BvS or SS. Seems quite inoffensive.

Probably a pass.

Ok now to be fair him trolling the shit out of the Russian dude had me dyin

As did him constantly luckboxing into bullshit like a free sandwich and wine while running away from the cops

Basically my thoughts. I'm not saying he's good(Affleck is probably the best hero in the DCEU by a country mile), but when he was criticized for being dull and wooden and then WB casts Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman seems a bit loopy.

Hmm, I don't really get gritty vibes from the visuals in this one like I do for the other DCEU films. Just looks like they're going with a specific color palette and sticking to it, which isn't really that uncommon or bad, the Coens do it an awful lot. Just my .2 though.

Gadot is a terrible actress, something about her feels very off. Like her delivery isn't there at all. Not sure why they even picked her, besides of her looks of course.

She's fine. She's pretty great at being able to sell an emotional beat with her facial expressions. That smirk she flashes during the Doomsday fight is probably the single strongest bit of characterization she gets in BvS.

Of course they're going for a color palette. But it's a palette that seems too generous with blue and grey to be visually stimulating. Many of the scenes are tinted with it, even some of the sunny days, and thus I have to ask "why wash the colors out like this?"

To be fair, after what the Kryptonians did a sword that supposedly traps the souls of its victims wouldn't really move me that much.

And they are most likely keeping stuff like that under wraps. What with "Circe" actress saying that she
can turn people into animals and other things
.

Who was the last model turned actress that turned out to have some talent?

Battlefield Oneder Woman? :p

The action in this looks fucking incredible, like wow. I'm not worried at all on that point. Also it seems to be shot beautifully.

The only thing that is worrying is Gal's acting. Seems a bit wooden here but in terms of spectacle I have little doubt this is going to deliver on that front.

Eh, it was a fine trailer. The action looks nice, but while Gadot looked physically fit for the role, her line-reading definitely came off as a bit flat.

The rest of the cast looks fine though. Pine / Trevor is definitely coming off more like a co-star though.

Some gorgeous cinematography.

All that slow-mo, though? Two slo-mo bullet shots?? HUGE red flag. Movie will probabky be pretty bad.

I did like that musical sting at the end, though.

Recently, Cara Delevigne seems to be pretty decent. Milla Jovovich has stood the test of time.

The same Cara Delevingne that was in Suicide Squad???

Uh...
