Yep, took thursday off. Gamestop opens at 9AM. Wife's gonna be at an event at her office till dinner.

I'm gonna have a good time on Thursday.

Hell yeah! Enjoy the hell out of that day. I took Thursday and Friday off since I'll be restoring and getting my crap together on Thursday; no time to play anything that day! :(

I'm having my Pro shipped to my office which sometimes results in a delay so there's basically a 50/50 shot of me getting it either on Thursday or Friday

I would have the same issue with me office. Most of the company is off Fri, so it is being shipped to my Father in Laws place and my wife is brining it home Thursday or Friday

Do we have any update on what PS4 Pro will do to XCOM 2? It's on the list of games supported, but as far as I know, we have no update on what that looks like.

Lord, it looks so damn good.

That guy needs to make some serious adjustments to his set. Why do all the characters look like they have been dipped in a bat of yellow/orange dye? Looks really bad and colors are way oversaturated. Looks like shit really because of whatever mode/settings he has. I cannot wait to check out a my pro on a properly calibrated set.

Really looking forward to the Pro...Still hoping we get details on what the improvements are for VR before it comes out.

Because it's HDR being recorded on a camera over YouTube. Of course it won't look the same to us.

I did not know it was a HDR feed he recorded. That does make sense...but I have seen people with non-hdr that has settings that make games look like that...like some sets using "Vivid" mode.

Is Uncharted 4 on Pro just HDR added or is there something more for that game?

HDR + 1440p resolution upscaled to 2160p afaik. Maybe other enhancements were made but I can't find any info yet.

Oh and multiplayer now runs at 1080p 60fps iirc.

Somewhat off topic, but what online store has the highest amounts of years of warranty for the Pro? Wal-mart has 4 year warranty for $60, but looking around to make sure if there's other places before buying a Pro from Walmart.

What restrictions does the embargo lift tomorrow?

Just reviews or are some developers not allowed to speak about their Pro updates until it lifts? i.e EA/Dice, Epic Games.

So we may get Battlefield 1 details tomorrow?

Possibly, yes. There was an official Tomb Raider PS4 Pro video that was on YouTube that was taken down pretty shortly after it was uploaded. My guess is that some companies are waiting until the embargo is up to spill the beans.

The same guy as above is also showing Uncharted 4:

It's an offscreen video posted on YouTube and I'm watching it at 4K but I only have a 1080p display which is obviously not Her compatible so it's far from the ideal of seeing this stuff but even I can see improvements in that video. Although it was always an amazing looking game for me it's removed some of the softness that the original version had and having such clean edges on the geometry just makes the environment seem so much more solid.

Really pleased with what I'm seeing so far.

Guys, you can't enable 4K Blu-Ray with a patch...

And that guy isn't a Sony employee.
Well, it's technical possible. The 4K-UHD-BD feature of the drive could be enabled with a firmware update if the support (Reading BD-XL-Discs) in hardware exists.

Some PC drives from LG were able to read these discs without that LG planned for it at all.
Of course it's highly unlikely. There would be no reason for Sony to not enable it right away for the launch of the PS4 Pro (especially because of the XBOX One S).
