If voting by mail is so great why are neither Washington nor Oregon in the top 10 for voter turnout?

Seems like it isn't the method that keeps people from voting.

That's awesome, it's a really cool area but it's also really conservative because of all of the military and DoD spending here.

Clinton seems better than Trump, but I don't think we will see an improvement here. There has been no public debate over foreign policy this election cycle. With no push-back, what reason is there to change or take a step back and examine the USA's role in foreign wars.

This probably isn't what people want to hear, but the no fly zone is a bluff. Voters want a candidate who promises to do something, and a no-fly zone sounds like the sort of safe something they want. It'll never actually happen because she knows the risk.

That said, under no illusion about the fact that she'll be much more hawkish than Obama, probably even more hawkish than Bill Clinton or GHW Bush, too. It won't be anywhere near GW Bush levels though. She's not crazy.

Trump campaign hasn't even had internal polling for a while now. They just love spreading fake rumors about it to hype people up.

So you deny the fuckery the GOP has openly taken part in then? Are you serious, right now? They actively make it harder for minorities to vote. That's their entire purpose with Voter ID laws (in conjunction with their closing down of various DMVs-Walker even admitted as much when he heard about the depressed minority turnout during a previous election), limiting early voting options, etc. etc. etc. Don't even try to play games right now. The GOP is the biggest reason for long voting lines. Period.
 
Long lines at my place (in Los Angeles). The past two elections have been 5 people and 25 people, while this year it was about 150-200 people in line before it opened. Sounds like more of the same for other places in LA.

I've often wondered about Trump's internal polling apparatus and the data that is collected and analyzed.

Erm, not exactly. Especially at the county level, the entire voting system is managed by the local government and supported by volunteers. Your Governor isn't wheeling and dealing to strangle certain votes. The people "in charge" are appointed at a much lower level.

That's not to downplay that voter fraud doesn't happen. But applying a blanket statement like "republicans run the polls" is ignorant because, assuming governors DO run elections(they don't), they're not all republican.
 
Well, I did my part ladies and gents. Me and my sis both voted Hillary. Were in and out rather quickly and then went go go grab some Taco Bell. Also voted D down the ballot.
 
Just got back from voting here in Pinellas County. According to the lady at (Step 1) they have had roughly 500 or so people so far today in this 1 polling station right on Lakeheaven in Dunedin.

Took me about 10min total from getting there to passing my ballot through the machine.(Long fucking ballot both sides filled with a ton of amendments).
 
I'm not voting today because I voted by mail 2 weeks ago.

Seriously people, if you have the option to do a mail-in ballot, do it. It's a life changer.

In the end I couldn't pull the trigger on Trump. While he's someone who I really wanted to vote for on an emotional level, you have to realize that he simply isn't a true believer, just another GOP snake oil salesman, only more bombastic and less intelligent. I am glad he ran, and I hope his movement continues to grow and eventually pushes the Grover Norquist chamber of commerce types out of the party. This time it was free trade, in four years it might be regressive taxation, or lax financial regulation, or labor rights. When the day comes that the base fully awakens and forces the party to move beyond trickle down and hostility to labor, I’ll be ready to support them, but until then I’ll continue to begrudgingly vote for Democrats.

Yeah the ballot was a mess, but I navigated is successfully with the same results. Not sure my younger self would have made the same choices.

2008 was my first eligible general election. I was in FL and I never went to a polling place because they are very open about allowing mail-in ballots.

Moved to TX last year and I actually had to go to the polling place for the primary and general election because they are pretty restrictive on mail-in ballots. Luckily, there was pretty extensive early voting options, so I voted last week in a matter of about 5 minutes.

after reading the NYT story of his campaign staff requiring to reassure him, I believe that these internals are poo and they just lied to him to make him feel better

No. Not at all. Not in the slightest. She was misled about WMD's and voted for it like many Democratic Senators including the current Sec of State John Kerry. She came out against the war by 2004 and supported withdrawal.
 
So, ugh. It's over with. I've voted.

It was kind of a scary experience as I live in a rural area and there were like 100 Trump signs and a huge "STOP RIGGED ELECTIONS" sign and one sign that I'm sure was likely a threat against Hillary's life. There was exactly one Hillary sign there.

All the employees/volunteers wore Trump badges.

I did my part. Got my vote in for Hilary. I'm in CA, though, so the only downticket choices are Dem. Couldn't be of help in the Senate

Yeah I have never had to wait in a line before, but I used to vote in Pasadena and this was my first time voting in Hawthorne.

I will say one thing though... in MO there were like 20 judges also up for election and you have no idea who these people are at all.
