Did my part and voted for Hillary in Michigan!

I'm in a bit of a predicament though GAF and I could use assistance. I have to lie o my dad and tell him I didn't vote. The reasoning it mainly due to me still needing to count on him with many things in my life right now. He is a die hard Trump supporter to the point where it actually scares me and he gave me an earful why not voting for him makes me stupid and such on the phone last night. He's coming by today because he has to help my brother with something and I just know he's going to bring it up again.

I ask for assistance because I can't seem to find the thread that compiled all of Trumps' lies and stuff. If someone could help and find that for me as well as any other big stories of him being awful, I'd really appreciate it.

Just saw this...

BREAKING: Watch Michigan.

Working-class turnout is looking much higher than expected. Trump may actually have a chance. #ElectionDay

I bet we see surprises on both sides. Both candidates are disliked and both candidates have a base. White working class Dems are just not likely to vote Clinton with what Trump is well...trumping.

That was the lesson of the Brexit vote. Folk ignored party lines; the working class feel (rightly or wrongly) over burdened with tax, with little back from an ineffective state and who see opportunity for their future falling. Menawhile trad Republicans will go Clinton - the Middle Class, minority working class (but importantly not all). Its going to be all over the place.

Safe states will be tight and up for play to both sides next election. The party lines are going to change and it'll be interesting if we see whats happened in the UK with right wingers flirting with the working class vote.

I am a bad case of the stomach flu and am in excruciating pain. I live in California, in which my presidential vote for Hilary probably doesn't mean a lot, but fuck that. Going to vote even if I drop dead immediately after.

You can still decide things like marijuana legalization, the death penalty and if you live in certain places you can vote against some Republicans, I think.

I'm kinda more interested in what happens with the light rail referendum than anything else. I haven't been keeping up with the city council and school board too much, but I tried to research them all last night to make a somewhat informed choice.

Yeah, the light rail is the big one, just like it was four years ago (and yet here we are again). I hope that it passes and something actually gets done this time, so that we don't wind up in the same place in 2020.

My ballot:

In the end I couldn't pull the trigger on Trump. While he's someone who I really wanted to vote for on an emotional level, you have to realize that he simply isn't a true believer, just another GOP snake oil salesman, only more bombastic and less intelligent. I am glad he ran, and I hope his movement continues to grow and eventually pushes the Grover Norquist chamber of commerce types out of the party. This time it was free trade, in four years it might be regressive taxation, or lax financial regulation, or labor rights. When the day comes that the base fully awakens and forces the party to move beyond trickle down and hostility to labor, I’ll be ready to support them, but until then I’ll continue to begrudgingly vote for Democrats.

(And yes, I totally broke state law by taking this photo)

Dafuq?

One tweet about bad news for hillary and people are clutching their pearls.

MICHIGAN GOING HEEL!

I really don't get why people I know from my hometown keep preaching for Trump as if he were a champion for Christian values. Dude doesn't even respect basic human rights but all they think about is "killing babies is bad."

I will collect every post making Brexit comparisons in this thread and make a wall of shame with them after the results are called.

Whoa lot of vabeach residents here.. Did yall vote yes or no on lightrail?? (please yes) Also I hope you voted for pro chicken candidates.

Yeah the lightrail vote has been crazy. I work for the City so it's going to have a HUGE impact around here if it gets canned. I'm leaning yes but I just hate how it's only the Town Center section to Norfolk and will be crazy expensive to extend it to the oceanfront.

I thought Michigan was in the bag for Hillary?

Then again Michigan was in the bag for Hillary in the democratic primaries, and Bernie pulled the upset last minute.

Could Trump be doing the same thing? Stay tuned

Just say you voted for him and be done with it.

No need to suffer his bitterness for who knows how long

please don't ever post about politics again. you can't spend a year derailing threads around ME ME ME ME ME ME ME attention grabbing political posts, fearmongering about how hillary is going to result in the destruction of the republic by grabbing your guns, talking about your MAGA hat, describing yourself as trump's single biggest supporter on the site, and then wimp out at the ballot box. it's annoying enough when you were being sincere and just hijacking every thread on politics by being contrarian, it's ten times more annoying knowing it was all an act. have some fucking principles

Wow! This is the biggest surprise of the election. You did the right thing.

+3 for Hillary in Arizona

My 18 yo stepson wasnt going to vote but some racist Trump supporters, yes I know that's an oxymoron, came up to him last week and gave him a vote Trump leaflet. They were really rude to him and said "here, this one is in Spanish"

He doesn't even speak Spanish.

So thanks deplorable for getting a young adult motivated enough to vote between bong hits.

Ok Michigan, calm down.

We in Wisconsin are going to hold up our end (and hopefully deliver Feingold back to the Senate). If you Michigan folks don't pull your weight, we're going to go full-on d-day beach assault from across the pond.

They're kinda hard to avoid considering Nigel Farage wants to be Trump's EU Ambassador....

Every single Clinton sign in my town is accompanied by a Russ sign

I'm so excited

Research indicates that the more facts you show him, the more he will cling to his belief.

Wow, never seen Stump so triggered before.

+1 for Clinton here in TX. Took me about 10 minutes to vote. I don't expect for TX to go blue this election but I hope it is really close. The GOP needs a wake-up call.
