Imagine if I said "God I hate black gay people."That would be wrong in your book, corrrect? By saying what you said you are no worse then the people you critisize. It is the demonisation of whites particularly Christian Republicans by the Extreme Left that helped polarize them into voting for Trump.

Still hoping for a Clinton win. How is she losing?

But straight white males aren't going to lose any rights and be treated like second class citizens.

That is the point of people's frustration.

No use crying over spilled milk.

It's over.

Time for some self reflection for the Left. We still need to win hearts and minds and that cannot be done with shame.

I doubt people that barely balk at racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia and sexual assault from their political representative are realistically going to be won over.

How did hate win? I'm legit depressed.

The hate arose out of concern and fear, and instead of addressing concern and fear the DNC tried to combat it with the most proto-establishment candidate ever.

Thats why a monster like Trump didn't do nearly as bad among minorities and women as he should have, because Hillary never appeared like a candidate for these people, they saw her as just another establishment figure.

The DNC learned nothing from Obamas success. Its their fault.

Great post that I agree with 100%. I've served several GAF bans in the past for trying to say the same thing far less eloquently. If you demonize an entire group of people don't expect them to come around. You do have to change people's minds. You can't just make snarky remarks and tell them to educate themselves. The price of progress is you have to work for it. And yes, it's exhausting.

No you fucking don't. Because, and here's the kicker here.

Those people don't give a fuck about anybody but themselves.

Right on.

Being a Bernie supporter on here was difficult during the primary; I can only imagine how it is to be called a racist and bigot just because you're a Republican.

Depending on HillGAFs mood, you'd get that same thing for being a Bernie supporter.

And a bunch of them are still going to be on that "bernie will hand trump the white house" shit.

There's no civility to be had when the idiotic half of America just set up Satan's emissary to lead us into the shithole.

Because that's not an idiotic thing to say right?

So when things don't go your way in life you take it out on others. You sure you didn't vote Trump?

This is it right here. My view of the silver lining in this is that it can be seen as a rebuke of the progressive left that screams at, labels, and demonizes anyone who disagrees with them. You can only shit on uneducated white people so much before they won't take it anymore. There are A LOT of them, and they vote.

Oh sure, let's all blame the SJWs ONCE AGAIN for this. Seriously?

Honestly, the 2008 Democrat primaries should have sounded huge alarms in terms of Hillary's electability. The fact that a young upstart and relatively no-name Obama defeated an established candidate like Hillary so easily should have shown the Dems that Hillary is just not a good presidential candidate.

The DNC is rotten on the inside.

I don't understand this US election, Hillary is in the lead yet people are saying Trump won?
Help!

There are a few states that basicaly don't count so the election is based just on a few states that don't always vote for one or other. Pensylvannia, Michigan and Wisconsion right now.
Trump has a lead on 2 of those 3

A republican house, senate, and presidency. In the years during climate change and years before automation. :( I got to get the fuck out of here

For the record, I'm a white guy that voted for Clinton. Not that it matters in a solidly blue state but I'm glad that I did something.

I'm pretty sad about this whole situation, GAF.

You're kidding yourself if you think Hillary's campaign didn't appeal to emotion too. All presidential campaigns in history are huge appeals to emotion. It's harder to notice if you agree with it.

Of course. But which one appealed more divisively to people and preyed on their ignorance?

It certainly wasn't the woman who admitted climate change is real...

So when the nations breathes a sigh of relief that Hillary Clinton won, will that mean that Republicans are more cooperative?

Lol no. They'll obstruct her to say in 2020 that she didn't do shit.

If she somehow wins.
