Fucking Brexit all the fuck over again. I wish those crying it earlier in the year were wrong. Instead we find out just how terrible too many people in our country are and how backwards our society really is. Fuck...

At least the true colors of American People is displayed for the world and the illusion of nation of "Good Guys" is over.

I'm guessing it'll just CONFIRM thoughts that already exist about the American people. A nation run by greed and filled with simpletons who are easy to brainwash.

Surely some of the people making blanket statements saying 'fuck white people' are being just as racist as the ones they claim are racist

Jumping to conclusions (officially the jumping to conclusions bias, often abbreviated as JTC, and also referred to as the inference-observation confusion) is a psychological term referring to a communication obstacle where one "judge or decide something without having all the facts; to reach unwarranted conclusions". In other words, "when I fail to distinguish between what I observed first hand from what I have only inferred or assumed". Because it involves making decisions without having enough information to be sure they are right, this can give rise to bad or rash decisions.

I think it came down to the fact that Clinton never proved she was not corrupt. She ignored the email issue the whole election and Trump made sure America never forgot it. Plus new emails were coming out almost every week yet she ignored them constantly. I think that was her downfall.

the FBI cleared her, and any new releases. You can't prove a negative.

Damn going to work will be shit tomorrow.

4 minorities working in the office and everyone else I suspect are Trump supporters. Suspect but in reality they are all very open of liking/voting for him.

I dont care they voted for him but they will be all happy and shit ignoring the fact the 4 of us will be living in a shittier time.

I'm going to go on a long rant here and I'm sure in this fast moving thread no one will read it, but it's going to be at least a little cathartic. I'm also going to put this forum on blast a bit.

You know, I'm just going to take a moment to say that some of us tried to warn so many of you. The whole "social justice warrior" online movement or whatever you want to call it that this forum in particular has come to be dominated by. Shame and spite do not do anything to help one's cause.

Unrepentantly calling all white people racists and bigots and sexists and misogynists is what brought this on. I've joked on here about voting for and supporting Trump, but god knows I never actually did. But I've always been able to at least sympathize with those "deplorables" for the blatant hypocrisy on the left when it comes to all of those social issues that dominate social media these days.

too many people on the left, and on GAF especially, remind me of the conservatives in the years following 9/11 under Bush. Everything was viewed through a polarizing, black and white filter. You are either with us or with the terrorists. You are either a ____ist or you're not.

You can't demonize and shame people and expect they'll agree with you. They'll only dig their heels in further, especially if they feel attacked.

This is some real truth here, folks:
All the people who are very likely or even (ugh) probably going to put Donald fucking Trump in the White House tonight are not voting because they hate women or blacks or mexicans or whoever else. I'm also not saying that the hatred isn't a factor, because it's been shown repeatedly that at least on some level it's an animating force for all of this... but people are complex animals but you've turned them into cartoon villains and stereotypes without every trying to understand them or why they actually feel the way they do.

Polarization is bad. The right has been polarized for a long time, but now the left is too, and it's biting them back hard tonight. If Trump wins and has the House and Senate behind him, this is literally the end of America as we know it and the beginning of a new BRIC nation world alignment. That's really fucking bad.

This is it right here. My view of the silver lining in this is that it can be seen as a rebuke of the progressive left that screams at, labels, and demonizes anyone who disagrees with them. You can only shit on uneducated white people so much before they won't take it anymore. There are A LOT of them, and they vote.

I'm so scared, I'm so angry. No matter how much vile shit trump has said and yet he still is close to being our next president. This is a mess and I can't believe people want him

Whoever is anti establishment is stupid. Whoever hates Hillary cause of emails and being in the government for 30 years is ignorant. People who vote 3rd party I can understand but to agree that trump and Hillary are the same therefor vote for somebody who will throw your vote away.

America wont be great. It was becoming great and trump will ruin it. Trump has no Idea what made America great.

Right on.

Being a Bernie supporter on here was difficult during the primary; I can only imagine how it is to be called a racist and bigot just because you're a Republican.

I wonder what happens with all the Republicans who tried to distance themselves from Trump. Do they embrace the cult of personality and shift their platform to him since it's clearly resonated more than everyone thought? Jesus christ this is crazy.

This is the end result of our way of life here in the US. A fucking demented TV personality who worships money and has zero empathy. The American Dream. I really hate my country right now.

This to me almost feels like those against extreme political correctness rising up.

I mean the oppressed overthrow eventually at some point right? I doubt many Trump voters actually want Trump himself as President. I think they see Trump as a way to break free from the oppression of extreme political correctness.

I'm not saying that's right or wrong, I'm not American. It's just the vibe I'm getting.

I really don't know what else to say other than that right now other than that I'm ashamed to be an American.

I just don't know how this happened.

I was hoping better future for women, minorities, LGBT Americans. I guess I was wrong with with my hopeful view of my country.

Now with a real possibility of ACA being removed and replaced by nothing, people with pre-existing conditions too will suffer.

Same...

My life will be greatly affected and ruined by a Trump presidency.

:(

No it won't. We can still work to make a future for ourselves despite this. The future unfolds in unexpected ways.

Please take a moment to know that you have much to live for.
