"economic anxiety" continues to make me laugh, as if the the minorities that rejected the shit out of him aren't dealing with the same shit.
USA, how could you!? HOW could you go from your first black president to the first (openly) racist president? Is it some sort of action/reaction thing?
Jackson and Polk were pretty goddamn racist.USA, how could you!? HOW could you go from your first black president to the first (openly) racist president? Is it some sort of action/reaction thing?
I think you misread the bet they had. He is only getting a tag.I believe Stump has to step down as mod, give him a tag of his choice, and recommend that Diablos be a mod.
B-b-but they flipped Alucard!
No you're right, the echo-chamber in here was reaching fever pitch the last weeks.
Yeah, people need to start showing respect to those who view them as less than human. :/
being racist is not a "point of view"
Looks like it was actually down this year. And the protest 3rd party votes did it again.
The pound tanked hard because of the Brexit news, and it SKYROCKET the price of games here
We are talking a %40 increase
Now that Trump has won I see the $ going the same direction for the next 6 months while the world stabilizes around this new
I swear if this bullshit USA election pushes the prices even higher im going to flip
Lolwhat? Trump is clearly Joffrey.

The base state of our country is to be unhappy with the government. So we give each of the parties turns to piss us off until we oust them for the other party and the whole dance repeats again. The pendulum has always swung back and forth in American politics. It's just that the young folks were spoiled by Obama and thought it was a permanent state.
No.
I said it 13 months ago, and i'll say it again today.
Whatever happens/ed during the election in event of a failure is not the fault of the people.
The Democratic party failed the people, the people did not fail the Democratic party.
They are the ones, who have to learn what taking their base for granted looks like. They are the ones who have to realize that money and collusion with corrupt big players will eventually mean your downfall.
They are the ones who have to realize that 'business as usual' will destroy their own voting bloc. And it won't be their voters fault, it will be theirs.
Trump only needed for the Democrats and the left to be demoralized, the GOP have been crazy ever since Obama was elected, there was no way they would be demoralized.
Trump only need to come in and gin up the people left and they could overrun the democrats easily, who were so self assured in their dominance because they were the insiders for so long, and were the ones who dealt on the global stage.
They felt they didn't have to appeal to their base at all, and this is what happens. This is what happens when Trump appeals to the core of the righwing base, and Hillary and the dems actively shun the leftwing.
This is on my FB wall. Are all the things in the Trump column true? Has he called for ID for Muslims?

Damn if that really is the reason Trump wins. So stupid.Looking at the results compared to 2012 and 2008 (heck, even 2004), you can basically chalk this down to too many people voting 'other' / 'independent'.
4.8% of people who voted did not for Clinton or Trump. In the previous three elections, this stat was no higher than 1.6%. Now, I may be oversimplifying this (or downright wrong!), but if even a single percent more voters voted for Clinton in Florida (3.1% for other), Michigan (5.1% for other), Pennsylvania (3.6% for other) and Wisconsin (5.2% for other), Clinton would have won.
It's not even people stupidly voting Trump that caused this to happen...it's the idiots who literally wasted their vote on something irrelevant.
European systems are a bit different mostly. Even if Wilders get to be the largest, he needs to work with others to form a coalition. Good luck with that after he blew up the last coalition he was (unofficially) part of.This is what I'm scared for. The upcoming election in the Netherlands is going to be painful I'm afraid![]()
lol at ever having faith in the American people.
8 years of Bush.
Yep, see my two quoted pats below.
Being against Hillary doesn't make someone a racist. Not everyone against Hillary was necessarily FOR Trump. It's the above attitude that was a part of the problem that has caused this.

if she does that would make things interesting given what was posted earlier in the thread
The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact
as michigan and penn would be enough of a swing to make it 272 vs 268.
though sadly those two don't have it officially in law.
I agree liberalism can be smug, and I have criticized it in the past, but I don't feel it applies here too much. Trump literally ran on derision, discord, and antipathy. His supporters received the message in full and were buoyed by its visceral impact. How can one be empathetic and respond to that?
Perhaps apply this paradigm to the rustbelt that voted obama last term who didn't show up for clinton - they may have felt abandoned on their issues. That's a place to start. But trump supporters in general? This was a war for them, and liberalism the enemy.
Doesn't really negate the overall point that GAF (to be fair the vast majority of media/internet/civilization) assumed a democratic win was a given. Plus there was definitely a several month period where GAF bemoaned 'Bernie Bros', and while Bernie or Busters were misguided and other forums like Reddit's criclejerk over him was obnoxious, it felt like it was effort that could've been focused on mending ties between the two groups instead of just demonizing supporters who felt slighted by 'the establishment'.Same thread said we were the 4th most linked for Bernie.

Trump definitely wants a database of Syrian refugees, and he hasnt ruled out the possibility of a database for all Muslims -- though he isnt actively calling for the latter.
Baby Boomers were a mistake. Nothing but trash.
Stannis isn't the best choice for character here. Ramsey? Roose bolton? (Though I guess that's Putin), Trump is basically Joffery.
Man, can't wait for John Oliver and Seth Meyers to do their segments about this.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but Hillary's campaign can request a recount in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, right? Trump won those states by only one point.
