I don't feel too bad for her. She has a net worth in the hundreds of millions of dollars to cushion the fall. I feel bad for all the people who are going to suffer as civil rights, reproductive rights, lgbt rights, the social safety net are slashed. The people like me that her and the democrats let down.

Maybe a positive for them, not positive for countries like Ukraine. For positive relations it needs the U.S lifting sanctions against Russia for what they are doing in the region, which Trump said he would do, and recognising the annexation of Crimea as part of Russia, which Trump said he would do too.

Common sense and and precedent have been wrong about what Trump would be able to pull off from the beginning. They said he wouldn't win a state in the primary. He dominated. They said Clinton would win in a land slide. She lost by a good margin. I'm going to be optimistic and hope that everyone is wrong about what Trump's presidency will be like as well. I still beleive in and fully love my country.

Trump isnt the worst person the Republican party has put out, and it was even proved so during the primary when they were doing their stupid republican conservative bullshit over planned parenthood and he admitted his support of the organization.
You get past all of the character/media spin and he isnt worse than a Cruz or even his own psychotic running mate
The Democratic party giving up on a huge base also made it so. There is no reason why there wasn't a realistic rural ground game for the rust belt by the party from the start. Yelling "America is already great" to people without jobs and living in economic voids getting strung out on Heroin just makes you look tone-deaf, and that is why he is president elect this morning.

Honestly the worst part about this election is just how impossible this would be. We are so polarized, America would rather elect an inexperienced misogynst and sexist candidate to the White House to keep the other side out. Makes you sick thinking about it.
Actually, I think Obama would've talked him out of it either way. He probably felt bad for snatching her fame last time and wanted to make up for it by giving her the spotlight.
I'm actually not doing this. I won't acknowledge this bullying, racist, sexist pig as a person of authority. I plan to just stop paying attention to any media and pretend he doesn't exist.
If I have to refer to him I'll just call him that piece of orange shit. I'll never acknowledge him as president.

A big issue for me is how the media completely fucked up on reporting the state of reality over the past six-eight weeks. Before that period I would have believed that Trump would have been president, yet for the past few months the prospect of Hillary winning had been hammered into me so thoroughly that it was a complete and utter surprise when I woke up this morning (I'm in GMT+1) and saw that not only was Trump winning, but by a substantial margin.
It's like they reported on their hopes and dreams and expected that reality was coming along for the ride. I'm looking forward to someone doing an analysis of how all the pre-election polls could be so wrong. It's probably going to shake up that whole industry something fierce. At least it should.

No way. Donald Trump is uniquely bad and it goes beyond basic policy. Donald Trump eagerness to call for violence against dissenters and protesters, his hatred for a free press and freedom of speech, and his calls to restrict voting access is terrifying in ways that goes beyond ideology. Ted Cruz is absolutely terrible, but he isn't out there calling for violence against people who protest or vote against him.

Trump will be the republican candidate.
Democrats choose Clinton over Sanders but it's a very close race (with the public opinion even potentially leaning towards Sanders).
More frustration in young democrat voters -> less people actually vote / don't vote for Clinton. Republicans continue to vote like clockwork to support whoever is their candidate even if many don't like it.

Unfortunately I believe transgender people are going to suffer immensely for decades because of Trump's presidency.
I say decades, because with republicans now in full control - they won't legalize any transgender equality legislation (in fact the opposite, and instead legalize anti-transgender laws like in North Carolina), and also because of trump selected supreme court justices who will vote against transgender rights (which will negatively impact transgender people for decades - if not for the next half century).

please don't pretend there's any sort of equivalence between obama and trump. sometimes you have to imagine that people should receive the level of respect they deserve based on their fucking conduct. Obama was a class act. Trump is a lying, crying, bullying, complaining, racist, sexist, liar, pussy grabbing piece of shit and I'll never acknowledge him as president for as long as I live.
