If the government doesn't put the money, resources and time into climate change then it at best stagnates progress. Which is just as bad as impeding. This is a time sensitive issue and the longer we fuck the planet the worse we make it for generations to come.
I live in a very liberal town in Massachusetts. When I was out walking my dogs early this morning I walked past a guy that looked about 15 years older than me. We just walked past each other and gave each other a solemn, depressed, silent nod, like it was so obvious that we were both mourning this new dark age of American life.

Pence is going to damn well try reversing gay marriage and with them appointing SC nominees, they can very well try.
Trump has talked about dismantling the EPA, that's not going slow down CO2 levels for starters.
The ACA is going to be completely dismantled as a personal 'fuck you' to Obama.

Trump doesn't believe climate change is real. He has sworn to repeal Obama's climate action executive orders, pull out of the Paris deal, eliminate the EPA, and strip federal subsidies for renewable energy. And his reported pick for Secretary of Energy is a climate change denier.
He will completely roll back climate progress.

We also have a significant percentage of forum members that live outside of the US, who are by in large anti-Trump as well.
The trump supporters that were banned would definitely fit in with the "Anti-Alt right" that this forum prescribes too.
There are a lot of trump supporters in this forum, they've just learned to "dial" it down a bit more than the fervent more malicious supporters.
But yeah, because of it GAF became an echo chamber of self righteous farts and, to be fair....the entire media prescribed to the same kool aid GAF drank.
We didn't listen to their complaints, because we thought it was just racist, selfish and hateful...and now...we suffered.
