Didn't vote for Trump.
Didn't vote for Clinton.
Haven't voted for the two major parties in the last 3 elections.

That said, if Trump can get a constitutional amendment putting term limits on Congress, I'd be okay with that.

That's like the only thing I've wanted from government for years...

Some of these politicians have been in office longer than I've been alive.
They need to go.

Yes Trump is awful.
Yes he's a fucking idiot.

But amen if he can actually get rid of these life long vampires sitting in Washington, presiding over a modern world they are increasingly more distant from the longer they sit in office, eating bacon wrapped shrimp on the tax payer dollar.

The campaign is the campaign.
It's a media showcase to drum up support by whatever means necessary. The campaign has always been politics at its worst. Trump exposed that.

People that think Trump actually believes half of what he said, or that he will actually follow any of it up are just as delusional as they were last night when they expected Clinton to win.
Meaning that its okay as long as the hate speech stays on the campaign trail? That its okay to stir the worst in people to get elected?

My point is that the very fact that Trump was able to succeed with that campaign highlights the problems within your nation (just as Brexit highlighted problems within ours). Those problema wouldn't have just disappeared if Clinton had won. Those problems need to be addressed now.
I agree that american politics are laughably broken by this point.

Trump has the nuclear launch codes and nobody can override him. Let that sink in for a second. This dangerous, unstable, 3AM hate tweeting buffoon with ZERO foreign policy experience is going to have to deal with the looming North Korean threat. You know why Japan and South Korea got so freaked out about Trump? Because they don't want North Korea, who WILL be able to send an ICBM tipped with a nuclear warhead, to drop a bomb on them while the US leaves former allies out to dry unless they "pay up." How in the world can you not consider this a dangerous situation? At least Clinton had the temperament and experience to handle them. You think Trump, who claims he knows more about ISIS than American generals, is going to make rational foreign policy decisions or listen to his advisers? He is a sociopath by every possible metric. A sociopath has control of ~900 nuclear warheads. Christ.

This election had global consequences.

No one is firing nuclear weapons. Especially not Donald Trump. I can't rationalise this lunacy with anyone on GAF today. I'll say for the umpteenth time I know wounds are still open, but hysteria about nuclear weapons is still as crazy as it was during the debates.

Trump the disinfectant. Cleansing Washington for someone good to actually get in. Would that be possible?

I try not to be vindictive but ive decided i hope every single person who voted for trump finds out they have a closeted child or grandchild.

BRITAIN: Brexit is the stupidest, most self-destructive act a country could undertake.

USA: Hold my beer.

This is exactly the hyperbole that I'm talking about.

What you think is gonna happen??? You think Trump now has total control of the world? Has his fingers hovering over nuclear buttons? You think one man has all that power?

I'm not even gonna argue with you. Bookmark this and wait and see what actually happens before declaring a global state of emergency.

Hyperbole? I am stating facts while you are trying to downplay or suppress legitimate concerns.

I think you need to inform yourself before commenting. The president of the United States has the ability to order a launch whenever they please; there is an aide who has the codes with them 24/7. Nobody can override him once a launch has been ordered. He may consult with advisers but Trump has clearly demonstrated that he does whatever the hell he wants. He has demonstrated that he is impulsive and irrational at times; did you not see his tweets? He literally said he thinks he knows more about ISIS than the generals; you think I'm making that up? Read this. I never said that he will DEFINITELY start a nuclear war. I merely implied that he is far more likely to get into a conflict than Hillary.

Honestly man, people have been watching WAY too much MSNBC. It's got them sounding crazy.

Obama has been very gracious toward Trump.

The dude is the personification of HOPE till the end. He never stops believing.

Fuck. I'm going to miss him.

I'm not saying it's ok. I'm saying that the campaign is a joke. Paying million and millions of dollars to tour the nation rallying the troops and creating media frenzy. It's been a joke for years now. A reality TV star exposed that. He took it to the extreme but he still played by the rules.

I'm not defending Trumps words or tactics but he's just playing the game and it's not a new game, it's a game that has been spiraling out of control for years now. People need to wake up and see reality. Trump isn't the end of the world or the US but he has exposed huge divide and weakness in your nations political system.

I woke up around 2am this morning and caught a bit of Trumps acceptance speech on television and chucked that his son reminded me of Ford's young android self from Westworld.

But when the shock creeped in, it was at that very moment I felt a wave of lightheadedness that remained throughout the day.

I feel like I'm still dreaming, living in the darkest timeline of a Bearnstain Bears alternate reality, wondering if I'll wake up in my correct universe where Hillary won. I keep expecting I'll see alternate versions of people I know wearing goatees and sashes.

What the fuck just happened? Where the fuck am I?

Anyways... back to Nanowrimo I guess.
*sigh*

Fuck. I'm going to miss him.

It is going to be astounding when the inflection point sets in on Obama's run. He had his valleys, sure, no President is perfect.

But he was damn close.

GAF not only called Moore and Silver hacks, they harassed anyone who dared to even say "don't be complacent, look at Brexit."

Ridiculous

We live in a world where Giuliani, Carson, Gingrich, Sessions, and Palin will all be parts of a Presidential cabinet.

God help us all.

Fuck. I'm going to miss him.

That's the norm. Bush was the same to Obama. Presidents all care about their "legacy". They aren't going to fuck it up by being bitchy and whiny 2 months before leaving office.

Fuck. I'm going to miss him.

He doesn't really have much choice. He's trying to hold out hope that Trump might not do all the evil shit he says and remaining democrats might be able to work with republicans. Unfortunately he doesn't realize this is a losing strategy and Republicans won't work with them.

Those are his stated policies, yes.

Did it.
This echo chamber is hilarious. You idiots sat around for a year and a half telling yourself this was an election that the Dems couldn't lose, when people like me warned you that minorities didn't like corrupt Hillary and wouldn't turn out to vote for her. Now you're sitting around licking your wounds, moaning and wailing and accusing everyone that supported Trump of being a sexist and racist. You keep asking, what policies of his do you support? I posted a list straight from his site. 'I bet they are' -- I don't even know what you're implying.

Wake up, pull your heads out of your asses, and nominate a decent candidate next time. And stop calling everyone who voted for a candidate you didn't like a racist, sexist xenophone, otherwise you might find a lot more elections going in this direction.
I'll call it how it is, thanks. And you're officially in the club, congrats.

I care about people, and their well-being - myself, my family, people I don't know. Trump is an opportunist and a sociopath - takes one to know one.

What makes you think he isn't firing nukes when he has specifically said they are not off the table in any situation?

If that's not a good enough source I can pull from MSNBC or his interview with Chris Matthews.

... I honestly can't understand why the fuck anyone would be more scared of Trump in office than Clinton.

Putin hates Clinton's fucking guts with a burning passion, and she is clearly a warhawk as well.

What exactly would Trump try to fight? He doesn't have any interest in the middle east.

Stop drinking the MSNBC/CNN kool-aid and think with your brains for two damn seconds people.

Plus he is a man of class. Don't expect this to happen again in 4 or 8 years.

Have you seen Trump's potential cabinet list? Half the people on there are either stupid or crazy. Some are both.

Honestly man, people have been watching WAY too much MSNBC. It's got them sounding crazy.

I can accept a bit of crazy considering what has just happened. I feel a bit crazy.

But leaping to nukes going off everywhere and Trump smoking a cigar like some comic book villian while the world ends is....

Heck I'm for nuclear disarmament in my country. I don't even think Russia would fire a nuke. Not unless retaliation. For retaliation to happen that requires someone to fire first, so who is firing first? If your answer is Trump, smh.

Most places accept if they start a nuclear war that means they are all dead as well. No one gets out alive. Power led sociopaths don't want mutual destruction, they want to reign in power. Money, power and locked in government is what most seek. Not their own deaths and extinction of their homeland.

Anyway my wider thoughts on nuclear weapons is besides my point to say Trump is going to start the nuclear end of the world is indeed as if you've been injecting yourself with clickbait media into your veins.

Posturing means jack shit. It happens all the times on the global scene.

Get back to me in 4 years about a supposed Trump led nuclear war. Or don't I guess, as you'd likely all be dead... Trump included.

But he has interest with restricting women's rights to their body, and minorities rights not to get searched randomly, and LGBTQs rights to feel safe.

Completely agree. Congress will never pass it.

So everything is gonna be fine because Trump will flip-flop?

Trump appears to be a rich reality TV star that got a close look at US politics, realised that it was a sham and ready for the taking, and then took every opportunity to basically troll the nation and expose the system.

He will not be able to enforce half of what she said, he knows this. He's not that stupid. You should all know it too.

It's sad that Trump is the best that your system has to offer but see it for what it is, a savy reality TV star winning a popularity contest based on his personality and soundbites - same as all of the other US elections in my lifetime.

Now let's see what the President actually can and can't do in reality. Let's see how many of those soundbites go from being transparent meaningless sensationalism to hard policy with real world consequences.

He has said he wants to whipe out ISIS and take their oil; how exactly does that equate to not having interest in the ME.

Michael Moore was a hack for saying that. Nate Silver was a hack for daring to say Trump had a higher chance of winning than other polling aggregates.

Living in bubbles, no different from your aunt who shares Breitbart articles on Facebook.

Yeah... I'm taking a lot of L's for following and believing the GAF chatter. I need more primary sources in my life.

Trump views on Climate change scare me the most to be honest. I have no idea who the fuck exists to even change his mind.

The cabinet is a fucking clown show.
