The "New Trump" didn't even last 48 hours. And honestly why should anyone expect anything different. After he won the Republican nomination back in the summer, he was conciliatory and disciplined for a hot minute before he went on another series of wild tirades directed at members of his own party, at a time when he still needed their support for the general election.

As others have pointed out, this is now our President. We elected a 70 year-old with a temperament of a 5 year-old to the highest office. The tweet itself isn't scary, but it's a window into his mindset, which is still completely unchanged and that has not felt the gravity of the office of the presidency yet.

If these protests, which are fairly mild as far as protests go, already have him rattled, then he's in for a very loooong ride the next four years.
