The electoral college votes in December. Hopefully, depending on when the actual trial is (it will be determined later this month, but is presumed to be early-mid December), the college may have perfect cause to defect.

Decisions are rarely instant, particularly in (presumably) complex cases.

It's Donald Trump innit. It's not like anyone followed his career and thought "that guy is someone who believes and would defend the rights and freedoms for citizens of a country if he had the opportunity to run one."

Trump has to earn my respect. I don't give it to him just by virtue of him winning. And the way he campaigned, and for his entire history of bigotry, he lost my respect long ago. He can earn it back by showing some decency, apologizing for all the things he's done and said, and miraculously becoming the most progressive president in US history. Then he will have my respect.

The man said that people like myself are criminals. He ran on a campaign that disrespected various groups of people.

And now he's saying that it's unfair that people are protesting him. A freedom that he will have to swear to protect and defend in January when he takes office.

He doesn't respect me.

He doesn't respect my fellow Americans.

And It looks like he sure as hell won't protect the Constitution.

That also ignores the bill he signed that was struck down in the courts for discriminating against Syrian refugees among other things. The guy is pretty much Ted Cruz but with a calmer facade. But if this election makes anything clear, people care more about facades than facts.
 
If he keeps twitting in office this is going to be so strange. Also people respond after every conversation with fuck off mr. President is going to be great.
