Went there today too. Was only able to be there for around an hour, but plan to go to further ones. This is the first time that I involve myself in some type of protest. Felt weird at the beginning, but I want to be part of this.

Kinda realised how selfish that sounds, but Zsigmond talking about his filming of the Hungarian revolution makes me want to document these things. A little selfish and glory-seeking I'll admit, but I like to believe it is for a good cause.

I don't think it much matters how many voted. The right to vote and the right to protest aren't somehow followed by one another. You're free as an American to protest something even if you were apathetic previous.
"Oh, well they didn't vote so we can ignore them"? Is that the implication?

I believe someone on Fox News suggested prosecution to the protesters. So you got that.

I think right now the party line is that the protestors are (((professionals))) with outside (((funding))).
Also that the protests are actually riots, with all the dogwhistling that goes with that (destroying their own neighborhoods, etc.).
Maybe they COULDN'T vote? Jfc when you have a job you can't just do what you want. It's a voter suppression tactic.

I went to a rally in Boston yesterday. I'm terrible at numbering crowds, but it seemed like there might have been a couple hundred people. There was a bigger marching protest a couple days before, this one was more of a huddled group of people in one area, reciting chants (BLM, My body my choice, et al.), singing, raising signs, discussing with and consoling each other, writing chalk messages into walls and all over the sidewalk.
It was nice and felt good to congregate with like-minded, equally frustrated people. Despite the cold and wind, it had been going on for about 5 or 6 hours by the time I left.

I think there were a few different things going on. I wound up gettingsick buy my g/f went and ended up in some random protest at trump tower not realizing it wasn't the union square one. There's at least a FB event for one this morning and one supposedly going on right now too.

I mean I found a video of a guy who... describes that he saw this sign, and films himself saying that, but somehow he didn't actually film the actual protest with the sign? Come on, that's sketchy.
The only other places talking about this are right-wing rags and forums. Some of which claim this sign was held by "feminists" (lol). My BS detector is off the charts, honestly.

Of course he is. His plan to end a police stand off was to take a robot with a bomb on it and blow up the gunman.
