Does anybody have those pics from the Trump war room on election night where he sat looking all bummed as the results came in? Like he was pissed that he was winning?

I told my wife about them and she wants to see them, but I can't find them anywhere. My Google-fu obviously sucks.

This has probably been posted a number of times before, but it just came up on my facebook timeline and it's really interesting to watch.

I'm only 20 minutes in, but this doesn't look like the same man who spoke like a rabid lunatic in the lead up to the election. This is the Trump that people think of when they say that he's the only one who could bring real change.

He seemed more well spoken in his younger years.

Wow, you actually want minorities to become major. THAT is disgusting. I am okay with them exist, I do not care. But I oppose their showy appearance. I do not care for them why should they make me care of them?

In case you're reading this, you're lower than trash.

Aside from his great anecdote about trying to constantly talk sense into his friend with the great cushy lifestyle, I appreciated the sentiment that you have to hope that a new president does well, instead of instantly have dark thoughts. It was pretty rational for a guy who was gung-ho for Hillary even though he's buddies with Trump. But I can't help but shiver at the fact that Howie has an influence on this election.

And when Ronnie the Limo Driver and Sal get the presidential pick over everyone else, you know something went wrong.

Wow gratz on your new president americans.
Gratz to the trump voters.
And gratz to Trump.

Our media was pretty confident as well Clinton would win but elections are always more heads or tails. After the brexit nobody should have expected something remotely different.
I don't think anybody should worry for the moment, just take a couple of deep breaths and shug of negative feelings. In the end, it may not be your way but it is democracy.
I think the media has a huge responsability in the polarisation of the elections by demonising both candidates, labeling voters and splitting the US in two camps as if the elections are a matter of life or death.

They are responsible for this mudfight so now it's their job as well to fix this and bring people back together instead of keeping your country divided.

I know who is on the ballot. I research all of them. That doesn't mean I vote for one. But keep your assumptions at full speed ahead. Just because you support this form of gov't doesn't mean I have to, and just because I don't partake in your form of group rule doesn't mean I'm lazy or an idiot. I have no interest in enforcing my will on you, feel free to try to vote me out of mine.

PS -- I don't eat at national chains. I've never been in a Starbucks. I know and understand my politics. Your insults, arrogance, assumptions, and ignorance don't phase me. I fully understand the implications of voting and choose not to. I'm self aware and politically aware. You can rest assured my non-vote for president was just as effective as your vote.

Your choice not to vote as that is your right. But no. His vote was effective for one vote. yours was effective for zero votes .

Which is the absolute worst type of person to use to shape your decisions.

You (we) may not like that kind of people, but we'd definitely enjoy having their vote.
Politicians are elected by coalitions, not monoliths. If the Dems can promise something that doesn't really change their platform to get diet-racists to vote for them.. go ahead, obviously.

Although, the main issue isn't that. The main issue is that the right promised a bunch of stuff that has no chance of happening, and campaigned on straight up lies all year long - And nobody cared.

Not sure if this has been posted before but this video sums up my thoughts for the most part, would suggest watching the whole thing. Especially the end bit, of how it could be worse.
Ironically the same video that got me to unsubscribe from GradeA.
Not only does he completely miss the point, but in his talk about hypocrisy, he turns a blind eye to make Trump seem on par with Hilary.

Why would that ever be posted? How can anyone watch that?

Also the two first points are already way wrong. Half the population is not the number of hillary voters, it's a way smaller percentage, and even then of course it's not all Hillary voters who want to leave.

Second point, he's the one who's a political candidate that hinted he's not going to accept election results when he's called for his opponent to be jailed, riots to happen if he doesnt win (yes there's protests now, but the point is HILLARY didnt call for them to happen), the election is rigged, and for his voters to intimidate minorities from voting.

Protests by people who are upset at this monster for the things he's said and done are not equal to that.

I stopped there, though I'm surprised I made it that far becuase holy shit that's hard to stand.

Supposedly Barron is going to go to the same school as the Obama children. What if he and Sasha meet, become sweethearts and fall in love, and eventually Barack Trump becomes the President in 2060?

He's too busy playing Call of Duty for that to happen. Wonder if he's embarrassed by how the average player talks like his dad.

Lol...I wonder if that Tumblerone with flowers is the original or post-brexit one ;)

It's funny (and sad, but still funny) that Pence really can be seen as a living bulletproof vest against assassination attempts, but most of all also against attempts by republican party to impeach Trump.

I think it's pretty interesting how the way he speaks has changed over the decades. He had a pretty noticeable New York accent before the turn of the millennium, which has gradually faded. This might be due to speech training he has received during his reality TV years.

His actual speaking style seems quite consistent, the same hand motions were visible in the 90's that we see today, except more exaggerated now. Again, we can see the years he spent on reality TV trained him to gesticulate more aggressively, to speak with more bombast, and to be louder in order to be a more effective TV presence.

What hasn't changed though is a surprising consistency of opinions. He really was saying the same things in the 80's and 90's that he says today. I guess nobody realizes that this guy was on TV for decades, just not as a reality show star.

Fun random segment someone dug up in this video.

In 2007, he questioned the rationale for the invasion of Iraq. "We're in a war we should have never... but Saddam Hussein didn't knock down the World Trade Center, he had nothing to do with it. And there were no weapons of mass destruction."

I usually only read/post the gaming section, but I took a look in here and ugh... this place is biased as hell.

President Trump seems like a cool guy. I'm glad he won.

I've said it in other threads (maybe this one?), but a vote doesnt discriminate. Your intent may be to better your life, you may not believe in those racist sexist ideals, you may not want minorites to suffer, but your vote doesn't hold such nuance. It supports all the aspects of the candidate. Your vote is basically saying even if you dont believe in the bad racist/sexist/xenophobic aspects, you're okay with them being validated and supported if the good benefits you

I see this as something which has always been a problem with the two-party system. You get 2 choices. It's pretty much 100% certain you will not agree with probably most of what the candidate you vote for stands for. I can basically guarantee it. The only way you can disagree with either candidate in the American system is to not vote at all, or vote for a meaningless third-party candidate. Guess what? A lot of people didn't vote this year, or voted for a meaningless third-party candidate.

Ultimately, those people in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin voted for the candidate they felt would have a better chance of improving their lives. If the Democrats ever want to win those people back, they better start appealing to them and telling how they plan to improve their lives. This shouldn't be that goddamned hard since it used to be that the Democrats were the party of the working class.

After the "Third Way" and neoliberalism infected the Democrats and they turned into supporters of free trade agreements, globalization, wealth accumulation, Wall Street, whatever it is you want to refer to it as, they stopped being a relevant party in the United States. Because the Republicans were already the party of the wealthy and this country didn't need two parties of the wealthy. The Democratic voters who swelled the ranks of the Obama Coalition demonstrated that by not turning out to vote this year.

What a fucking dumbass. Clinton conceded. I can still share my opinion if I don't feel represented by the selection of the democratic system.

His first point is waaaaay of. Comparing that the CANDIDATE said he might or might not concede to the PEOPLE who are protesting does not make sense at all. One is someone who wants to become president potentially disrupting the transition of power from the top, the other is people exercising their right to protest. Not comparable at all.

I will reason with this man like Gaf has told me to.
