Is this what all Twitch streaming is like? I keep hearing that games journalism is dead, the future is streamers. Is this our (dystopian) future?
 
Just look at the button labels of his example and then compare it to the photos we've seen of the real unit. The letters are brighter and larger. Sorry sunshines, but the science says it's fake.
 
I'd just like to point out that being shirtless on Twitch is a bannable offense as a guy or a girl, unless they stopped enforcing it on men again, as I've seen two topless dudes recently.
 
If he doesn't give a fuck why not show the dock, show it playing a game, show the UI, at least something other than an easily faked main unit. Doesn't make any sense why he wouldn't, if you're gonna go out (as in, get banned from Twitch and blacklisted from anything Nintendo) like that might you as well go out with a bang.
 
I'm going #TeamFake on this one.

It does look like a high quality unit, but like other have said already: no power-on, no buy.

based on the heart that's the logo for youtube gaming I assume he was streaming on that platform.
Also based on that you can find pornographic material on YouTube I guess they are fine with shirtless.
 
It's fake. I've already seen a pic that's a bit closer, it's quite off from the real one, starting from the material, even the ABXY label that's quite off, but it's kind of a decent 3D printed Switch.

For the record I am 100% team fake but even if it was real I doubt the OS would be anything other than a safe mode or dev build and he probably wouldn't have access to games anyway
 
Could be a fake for sure.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if steamers do start getting them earlier than some folks with some strong NDAs.
 
A bit of a misleading title as this is very unlikely to be a real Switch. Also please can he put some shirt on...

Could be real though, I'm just doubtful.

That's more than nothing. A switched on screen with an error message is a LOT harder to fake than a shell of a device we already have highly detailed shots of.

That's too good to be 3D printed. Maybe he got hold of the version used for the trailer/promo? Weren't those just empty shells?
 
If thats real and not 3D printed, wow it looks a lot smaller than the trailer made it seem.
