Really? Damn, I thought it had unlocked 30 minutes ago. I just finished rewatching Inside Out for the 11th time or so, hoping to have a playable game by now :(

I'm tired, it's 1:30 AM here, but I want to unlock the game before going to sleep.
 
30 here and started with Red and a Bulbasaur cause I read a game mag back then saying Bulbasaur was easy to raise so i figured i'd start with it. Since then I've had an unending Fire Starter run.
 
I started with Gold at forgot how old, like 8/9. Totodile was my first starter. Since then it's been all Grass except Delphox.

Definitely girl. I love character customization options in games, and I find customizing male characters pretty boring in most games (especially in X+Y where options were especially limited). Hopefully Sun and Moon have a decent variety in clothing options like X+Y did for female characters.
 
Just got my new 3ds today, and didn't think about getting the game digitally. On top of that, didn't know there was a preload. How long did the preload download take you guys?

Also, does it go live in 20 mins on the west coast, too?

Should I wait outside in line with everyone else or stay in my car till they start allowing people inside

Me neither. Think I'll go with Popplio, if only because the final evolution of Litten is horrible.

Yep, just did a quick search to refresh my memory, and Incineroar is absolutely ugly. Team Popplio it is, then.

No idea, I was downloading Infinite Warfare at the same time. It took less than an hour, I think.
 
Gonna share this here. That paste contains links to others where I've been keeping track of what items you'll find where, in-game trades, that kind of stuff. If you check everywhere and do everything as you go, it'll serve little purpose except to find things you missed, but I figured I'd put it together anyway.

It's not a walkthrough, nor is it even complete at the moment, just a collection of what you'll find within a given route/city and that kind of stuff.

preload took forever on my end, I think nintendo's servers are on fire (also the game is huge, 3ish GB)

Yeah... just going off typings fire/dark is an easy pick for me. Dark type is my favorite. It's just I don't like Incineroar at all.

I know where to get it, but I don't think it's until the postgame:
Kukui in his lab, you may require some level of dex completion first

Wild Pelipper could have them in ORAS, I don't know if that holds true here or not.

Pokemon pretty much started my rpg obsession. I always come back to it, but this is the most I've looked forward to a new one in a while.

All 3 typings are cool this time, it's just that they are wasted on ugly mons. OK, Decidueye isn't too bad, but I don't like the previous stages at all. And Primarina isn't really a bad design either, but looking at her makes me want to use Vaporeon instead.
 
5 minutes! It's been a long journey since the games were announced but we finally made it :D let's enjoy the game and specially the post launch honeymoon period, everyone! :p
 
33. Been playing since the originals. I put about 600-900 hours in per generation, battling and doing breeding projects. This and Monster Hunter are my sink time series.
