Pokémon Sun & Moon |OT| Ultra Beasts and where to find them

Island Scan has 28? available Pokemon between all four islands, with each island having a different selection.

Which one you'll find on each island is set before you do a scan, but you can reset to see which island you want to use it on.

Page 27 already? Neogaf, settle down! Picking this up at 10 when Best Buy opens up. Trying to make some progress on my abandoned Pokemon Red and Alpha Ruby files so I can get as many cool mons' in the bank before I start.

I minor thing that is annoying the hell out of me is the fact that you have to press A one more time after the Pokecenter Nurse says she take your Pokemon. That was removed in Gen VI, so why the hell is it back.

Uhhh so my team got wiped by Ilia's fucking smeargle. Of course it doesn't help that 2/3 of my pokemon are weak against ember. First time I've lost an in game match since like Cynthia.

Since it's been a few pages (and hours) I figure I'll re-post this so more people can see it.

I've been keeping track of items, in game trades and that kind of stuff during my Sun playthrough. There's still a lot more to add, and I'm not in the postgame yet in Sun. I'm actually just starting the fourth island, but I've logged everything I've found up to this point at least.

It's just a resource for stuff like hidden items, items on the ground, items given by NPCs, a few service locations like the Name Rater, mart second counter stocks... That kind of stuff. But since sometimes you have to mention story points to state when/where you get something, there are some spoilers. Primarily names and noting people you've battled, though.

(I know of a number of things that I haven't logged in those texts but will log when I get to them in Sun.)

What's the encounter rate for Drifloon in the cemetery early in the game? I've been trying to find one for a while and am having no luck.

Sun or Moon? Because it only appears during the day.

Wow, they really sexualized the swimming trainers this gen.

Dartrix sucks. Rowlet and Decidueye are my favs, but it's just not worth having to use Dartrix for so long. Wishing I chose either of the other starters tbh.

Guys, I have one doubt.
The Munchlax learn Stockpile at lvl 28. And Snorlax learns Rest also at lvl 28.
My question is, if my Munchlax evolves at lvl 28, will he learn Rest as Snorlax?

Anyone managed to contract Pokerus yet? (it's actually rarer than a Shiny Pokemon) I think the only time I've ever managed to get it naturally was in Gen IV. In Gen VI I eventually got it off wonder trade or GTS.

In Gen VI I always used the PC to heal my Pokemon. Put them in box, take them out good as new. I'd usually use that moment to swap my team about too. Not sure if that was ever faster than watching the Pokemon center animation though.

I just looked at the trainer data for this one. There seem to three of them difference being first move (ember, leafage, water gun) which I guess is starter choice and also has IVs: 15/31/15/31/15/31 EVs: 0/252/0/252/0/0. Well I guess those do not make much difference at level 10 but funny to see behind the curtain nonetheless.

Gotta say, this is boring as batshit not even 2hrs in. Super hand-holdy, uninteresting and empty places. Cutscenes that drag on too long. Lillie is irritating. Why are there so many buildings that seem to exist for the sake of it, with nothing inside? Why the hell do they have to cut away for a full second when you open a gate?

And let's not even get started on that mess they call the PokeFinder.

Mudbray is kinda sorta broken for the early part when you can catch him. Why the hell does a pre-evo has base 100 attack? lol

If you play Moon at night it's in the daytime, it's not Dark/Sunny all day every day. At least I think that's the case anyway. I think there's a 12 hour timeshift.

You are correct. The point was depending on what version they were playing, they'd have a different time than others (also where they actually are). So someone saying they caught it means nothing if they're in a different time.

Me too :|

Also, it took an hour but I got my Adamant and Modest Synchro Abras on Route 2. Feels so good, also I guess those x12 preorder quick balls came in handy after all.

Yeah since the last gen.
It makes me so mad cause I'm in Japan now but my 3DS is European, so I have to wait even though it's out... lol
Do you have an NNID linked to this 3DS? If you don't you can change the country to Australia and buy the game on the eShop as it out there now (no idea what the Aussie price is like though). If you have an NNID (which you probably do since it's needed to get the demo or anything that costs nothing) you're stuck waiting until the 23rd as the NNID only lets you access the eShop of the country the NNID is linked to.

$59AUD which is £35 or €41.

Yeah I already do... :( Oh well, I'm a bit busy anyway right now so I can wait 5 days.
But thank you for your advice, appreciate it!

The big city is pretty uninteresting, but the routes and trial cave felt pretty cool. I don't even mind the handholding in Pokémon anymore, never felt excessive to me.

I don't get what Lillie did to piss some of you guys off. Girl felt fresh to me.

The opening is ridiculously boring, but my assumption is the game will open up at some point. It doesn't feel handhold-y, just boring compared to other games where you're pretty much into the meat of the adventure within 20 mins or so. Been a long time since I played a Pokemon though.

So stupid I have to wait for this in EU. Why?
Can't wait to get back into this though. Loved the demo
Supposedly it's because of XY being sold early in European stores. We also got Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire late.

Still irritating though, especially when Sun/Moon were leaked so early.

The pace is the same all the way throughout the game. You get a cutscene every five minutes. It's annoying.

Oh, and there's about 20-30 mins of cutscenes and stuff between the ending and the credits, with no opportunity to save, so make sure you're not low on battery for that one.

X/Y felt much more egregious to me, tbh

But it could be that I just like the tone of this game a lot more. The opening few hours are pretty tedious, though, but that's pretty par for the course for Pokemon

Also I LOVE this new item pick up sound

Well I am going to join in the I'm from the UK and hate you all until Tuesday.

Really trying to stay away from anything about the game (aside from what Nintendo have shown) and its really cruel that you all get to enjoy it.

In reality though I'm glad its turned out to be an interesting release.

Also happy for those that are playing and I hope you enjoy it :)
