Pokémon Sun & Moon |OT| Ultra Beasts and where to find them

That's not what I was asking. I was wondering which one was better :(

I figured I'd mention Pokemon having trade evolutions since that's a turn off for a lot of people. Gastly is Ghost/Poison and Grimer is Poison/Dark so they both serve different roles. Either one would be a good addition to your team.

Gratz. Neutral nature and no hidden ability for me but I'm not complaining.

From your avatar I'm guessing it'll be a Midnight Lycanroc? That's gonna look awesome, nice work.

Time to Stone Edge the world (and probably get Dynamic Punched a bunch while I'm at it).

Now to get back to Mallows trail

huh calling for help makes shinies more likely to appear or something?

Freaking FINALLY. Female Pichu.

So, my party thus far:

- Artemis, Sassy Rowlet, Level 13
- Sasha, Gentle Alolan Meowth, Level 11
- Myria, Hardy Pikapek, Level 11
- Mindy, Careful Ledyba, Level 11
- Murray, Bold Munchlax, Level 11
- Piper, Mild Pichu, Level 5

Team starting to take shape!

Nicknames, love 'em.

I suppose I'll post my team as well. O:

Aqua (Brionne) Lvl. 24
Wicked (Misdreavus) Lvl. 24
Bones (Rockruff) Lvl. 24
Omelette (Pikachu) Lvl. 24
(And to be captured...) Kalama (Cubone)

Benching my Misdreavus for the Cubone, whenever I get the damn thing. I just want a male with Rock Head, but damn, almost every one I encounter is female, and if they're male, they have Lightning Rod. :(

Nice! The Omelette one would be more fit for Togepi though, I think.

My names all have meanings.

- Artemis: Goddess of the moon and archery, natch.
- Sasha: Sasha Banks, WWE wrestler, poses with her hands up kind of like how the Meowth holds its paws up. Plus, Banks, gold coin, lookit me being all cute.
- Myria: Name of one of my old parakeets that died a long time ago.
- Mindy: One of the Magus Sisters' names from FFX.
- Murray: ... Nothing deep on this one. He LOOKS like a Murray
- Piper: Always liked the name. Piper, Pichu... Why not?

I wanna stop you there before you break your heart. When Cubone involves into Alolan Marowak, Rock Head becomes Cursed Body. You actually want a Cubone with it's Hidden Ability, Battle Armor. That transforms into Rock Head upon evolution.

I'm making up nicknames on the spot. So far I have Ruffy Anne for a female Rockruff and Reef Fiennes for a male Mareanie. I'm a terrible person.

I know the game just came out yesterday right, but does anyone have an idea what you think Gen VIII will be called. I was very surprised when I found out my guess of Sun & Moon was correct.

The animations for these Z-moves are devastating to watch. This is a much better gimmick than mega-evolutions, I hope they never come back and just become non-canon.

Loving the game so far, trying to rotate as many pokemon as I can to keep from getting over-leveled. Mudbray's stamina ability is awesome.
Keep in mind that only female Salandits can evolve.
Had no idea about this thank you, haven't seen the evolution yet.

LOL. I went with the name Omelette because of cheese omelettes. ...Cheese. It's a mouse. I dunno. I've also used Cheese, Swiss and Cheddar for Pikachu before. :P

Very cool choice of a name for Rowlett, also. My nicknames are either silly or I literally google Animal Crossing villager names.

Bruh. You've saved me so many more (potential) hours of rage. I can accept the Lightning Rod now. Thanks. X_X

To any European reading this, only 3 days left till the game gets released in Europe.

I know the game just came out yesterday right, but does anyone have an idea what you think Gen VIII will be called. I was very surprised when I found out my guess of Sun & Moon was correct.

It depends on what they do for their theme as every gen barring gen 6 the name had a meaning behind it and tied into the game's themes and story.

Pichu pichu where art thou

Protip; if you have an electric Pokémon with the ability static it will increase the chances of running into an electric Pokémon.

Pokémon Hot / Pokémon Cold -> Pokémon Hot 2 / Cold 2

Pokémon Cat / Pokémon Dog -> Pokémon Nintendogs + Cats

Pokémon ! / Pokémon ? -> Pokémon !?

Man, my pikachu is definitely being a weak link right now since he's stuck with thundershock and having pretty bad stats. How soon do you get a thunderstone in moon? Probably going to bench him until then

Welp.. I caught a Kanghakhan but just can't seem to find a female Salandit

Heh... 1% chance of showing up, but you even managed to find that over the elusive female Salandit. Actually crazy.

You can try what someone here suggested by catching a male, Cute Charm Igglybuff at Route 4/6 (Day).
(Leading with it in your party makes females more likely to appear)

Finished the first Totem battle. I'll admit, I used the in game traded Machop to help because I didn't have the levels, but I probably didn't need it. Had Litten, Pikipek, and Chikorita around level 15, nothing else of note. Finished that and got them all evolved, which is awesome.

Also got my Cutifly! Shield dust ability first try, not like Pikipek which took... 7 or 8 to get a Skill Link (and the first one was Modest, of all natures). So team is shaping up nicely. I'll probably ditch bayleaf eventually but it's fun using a wild starter

Just managed to finally catch one!! Thanks for the advice though, that looks like a really cool ability :)

They're doing even better than that. Judging by the pokedex entries for the Mega Evolutions, they all generally make it pretty clear that Mega Evolution is very stressful and uncomfortable for said Pokemon. A bit of a retcon considering the whole thing happens due to having strong bonds with your Pokemon, but I like it better than them just dropping it as if it had never existed to begin with. So Gen 8 now has that out in that Mega Evolutions could just not be a thing because people have realized that it does more harm than good.

Currently out of my endgame team, I have Rockruff, Dartrix, and Pikachu. Currently had good luck finding rare Pokemon like Bagon, but now I'm struggling to find an Igglybuff, a male one to be more specific. Figure I may as well grab that in order to increase my chances of finding a female Salandit...

> Enter Festival Plaza
> See guest with some clothes I don't have
> Ask about their outfit
> "Thanks. Do you want my hat?"
> It's the hat you start with

Goddamnit GF. You include a method to buy the other version's exclusive clothes, and you make it totally random.

(You unlock the ability to do this at rank 10.)

Considering Cubone and Marowak are featured Alolan forms and the signature Pokemon of an entire trial, the least they could have did was have an NPC that sees you have a Cubone and handed you a Thick Club.

Chained for a good 20 minutes, no Thick Club in sight. Chain ended when a Kanga spawned and no way was I turning that down.

I can find three female Salandits in a row, but no Thick Club after 20 minutes...

Pokemon Dew & Pokemon Frost

This sounds good. I had nothing to go on when I made my guess for Gen VII. I just looked at past names and see what they didn't do. They didn't have any celestial bodies yet so I thought Sun & Star, but then I said that wouldn't make sense, the sun is a star so Sun & Moon it was and now funnily enough the rumored Switch version is called Pokemon Star.

Just got an extra female Salandit.

Anyone have a Feebas to trade for it? I gave up after an embarassing amount of time trying to catch one, lol

No problem. Lightning Rod stays the same you get free Electricity immunity, which is still useful.

Yeah, the cogs started slooowly turning in my head after I thought about it. The Cubone I caught after I read your post had Rock Head (fuck this game, I swear LOL), but now I'm back searching for a Lightning Rod one. OH HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED.

Now watch every single one have Rock Head.

Ok. This has been a bit confusing to me since I haven't played since Silver version came out.

I'm used to there being like 20 obvious good Pokémon families, and now there's so many I'm not sure who's good or not.
