This please, they did an amazing job bringing his own game's mechanics into UMvC3, but with some reworking here and there he'd be actually viable.

Yeah well it's not like Bloody Roar or Eighting's Naruto games were on that level of gameplay either- so CC2 would need lots of direction from Capcom in the same way.... but yeah I had totally forgotten they're doing the FF7 remake now.

Clockw0rrkkkkk. He chokes sometimes, but he makes a team like Vergil/Doom/Strider super fun to watch. Cloud805's one of my favs too because of his Dante.

If I remember, Lupinko started giving out riddles about the cast prior to UMvC3 being announced, but I don't think we ever got confirmation to who was who in the rumors outside of Strider and Firebrand. Then the whole roster got leaked anyways after the game was officially announced, because of the website

Man, I'd take any of the main Infamous characters. I was one of the only people excited about Cole in SFxTekken but I always felt that he would have been so much better in a game like Marvel or Injustice. So I'm still holding out hope for another Infamous character to end up in one of these games, especially if Sony backs them up.

For what it is worth, the Discord rumor doesn't say Marvel vs Capcom.
Yeah agreed, considering they've taken the Killer Instinct project and expanded upon that well I don't see why it wouldn't be a possibility but I still think they'll develop the game interally with inside help from either Dimps or Eighting.
Eighting made 3 and dimps made sfiv. I'm not saying I believe it but Capcom outsourcing main dev for fighters is not uncommon.

While we're speculating on developer and roster, I just wonder what they'll do with voice acting.
On one hand, MvC3 isn't THAT old and it would make sense if they wanted to save money and just reuse voice samples (and MAYBE bring in the voice actors to record a couple new intro lines like Ultimate)
Back when MvC3 was announced and the first footage was shown, they actually debuted new voice actors for the Marvel characters who would later voice the characters on Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes which wasn't out yet. I still remember people ripping on Brian Bloom's Cap for sounding like he was "mocking" the original MSH/MvC's Cap voice. Good times.
But NOW, they seem to have new definitive voice actors now. I'd imagine they would likely replace Greg Ellis with Trevor Devall for Rocket, Rick D. Wasserman with Travis Willingham (Guile!) for Thor, and Eric Loomis with Mick Wingert for Iron Man (Adrian Pasdar is on his way out supposedly). But there's a couple that's going to be awkward.
Roger Craig Smith is THE voice for Cap now, but his Cap sounds almost identical to his Chris Redfield
Laura Bailey is THE voice for Black Widow which is just a slightly deeper, more mature sounding Chun Li (assuming BW gets in which is certainly possible)
Troy Baker is THE voice for Hawkeye now, but it sounds identical to his UMVC3 Nova
On the other hand, who knows what they'll do for Spidey. USM is ending, and the new show will likely have a new voice which will probably debut here.

The real question is:
Which Dante are they going to pick?
Keeping DMC3 Dante? (Would be reasonable, seeing the amount of work they probably did to contextualize his enourmous movepool)
Going DMC4? (could be interesting for Pandora's Box, but loses half the arsenal)
Original? (basically redesigning his playstyle)
As for Marvel players, I loved Marlinpie for his stylish Doom and that XF lv.3 Amaterasu

If this truly happens, expect no mutants or X-Men-affiliated characters (e.g. Deadpool), as well as no Fantastic Four-affiliated characters (i.e. Doom, Super-Skrull, and Galactus are pretty much out, and expect no Silver Surfer either).
Marvel has been pretty militant about not having any of these 2 properties' characters appear in any of their games developed past mid-2014. This has been stated by developers of games that came out since then.

Cole was in SFxTekken?! Man, I really missed out on that game. And yeah, I agree. inFAMOUS characters are made to be put into fighters. Especially in crazy superhero ones.
DMC5 Dante of course. That's a no-brainer.
