Other than ports of a few fighting games, I don't see how they can make their own fighting game.
They have two studios and have grown a lot. I can only find the 130 employee number, but I'm pretty sure they're bigger now.

I'm not saying they are making it, it's super unlikely.

But if you're looking for a free fighting game dev, they might be your first adress.

Well it feels pretty forced when you call it "All Different Marvel"

then you proceed to kill off some of your existing diverse characters
RIP War Machine

There's nothing forced about it, it's all creative decisions within a creative medium that's always trying to find new ways to inject new life within its products in order to continue interest and expand its audience.

If this is all true, I'm wondering what got Marvel to go ahead with MvC4? If I recall, their licensing costs are pretty steep and Capcom said that was the big problem from getting the go ahead to proceed with this game, and what caused the DLC from the last game to get pulled from the stores.

Is this a change in vision for Marvel for their videogame presence? Along with the Insomniac game, it seems like they're trying to make more of a AAA impact with their titles. Which they need to in order to catch up to WB's handling of the DC games brand.

considering IG was behind a remake of Killer Instinct I'm thinking we might get a remake of Children of the Atom or Clash of Super Heroes w/ an updated roster, of course... <_<

IG definitely has the manpower to do it.

I would definitely prefer Eighting over them, but I can see why Capcom and Marvel would prefer a western developer for this property.

They have a new strategy, yes: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1235407

If you're interested, they also have detailed their mobile plan which shares elements of the same strategy: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1218759

Marvel have said as much, so yes.

What if its marvel super heroes 2..

I would honestly prefer it...especially if they are tying in the Avengers Infinity War. It just makes sense. The gems are what make MSH stand out and why I still come back to it from time to time. Also could you imagine the lineup? 40 character all Marvel game made by Capcom? Yes. Please.

SFV was developed 60% internally by Capcom. Capcom moved away from outsourcing in favor of internal development. If Iron Galaxy was involved, they wouldn't be mostly responsible for development and Capcom mostly for design work.

Akuma in DOA didn't throw you off????

I remembered it as Akuma in SFV and didn't reread it before posting the link. And I don't recall writing that I believed them.

Okay rather than forced... I'll just call it lazy. Rather than come up with interesting new original characters to expand their audience, or perhaps do something with existing diverse characters... they just shoe horn changes on their most popular characters.

I don't give a fuck what Japan thinks anyways, they don't play Marvel beyond that dude who kept trolling with Rocket Raccoon and then begged for mercy when he hit a wrong button during a major :p

Fake or not I might trust Iron Galaxy more than Capcom sans-Neo_G at this point. Or at least if Capcom isn't doing it in conjunction with Dimps/Eighting, it should be with Iron Galaxy.

I wouldn't necessarily call it lazy... but it's definitely easy. I'll give you that. LOL

They have done that. Since forever. More specifically, since the early 00s they have introduced or launched the Runaways, Araña, Avengers Academy/Avengers Arena/Avengers Undercover, Young Avengers, X-23, X-Men: Academy/New X-Men/Young X-Men, Generation Hope (Hope Summers and the Five Lights), Young Allies, Fearless Defenders, 616 Ultimates, etc. Outside of a handful of books like Runaways during the original run and some characters like Ms. Marvel, none of those caught on.

Araña is the perfect example. She's a hispanic girl, an almost Jaime Reyes-esque character, who had her own identity and series for a short while, before becoming Carol Danvers' sidekick. She then adopted the Spider-Girl moniker and getting her own series, before that got canceled and she faded out. She didn't find success, but Ms. Marvel and Spider-Gwen did for whatever reason. Maybe their series were better written, or they resonated more with readers, or Marvel marketed their books better. Who knows.

Fact is, Marvel has introduced plenty of fresh new characters over the years, but people generally don't seem to care. Though I've heard sales for some series like Jane Foster Thor haven't been all that great, so it seems like audiences generally don't care for some of the diversity changes either. So who knows what the solution is.

Besides Eighting or Iron Galaxy.... I wouldn't mind seeing CyberConnect get a stab at making MVC 4. Especially if they want a truly epic story mode... just get the Asura's Wrath team on it. I think they could also definitely deliver the best looking version of MVC 4.

If it happens, there won't be any X-Men or FF characters, I guarantee. Probably no Shuma Gorath, either, as there's some shared rights issue there as of late.

Yeah it's unlikely that there'd be a huge amount of X-Men characters. But I don't see any feasible MvC game without at least Wolverine.
