you know, i always did kinda think that if mvc4 ever happened, marvel would at the very least be conscious enough of the game's culture to not completely do away with the xmen

Honestly I'm more worried about Dr. Doom than the X-Men. Yes, Wolverine, Magneto, etc. are staple characters in the series, and it spawned as X-Men fighting game, but on the other hand, especially with MvC3, Doom became a big part of the series' culture.

I'd say with Strider Doom being popular in MvC2, and Doom pretty much being the poster boy of MvC3 (even more than Magnus), if Marvel's going to be Logan or Magnus in, Doom is safe too.

You guys are getting worked up for no reason. This is probably a very minor reveal like season 2 for sfv. And playable akuma for sfv that's it. There will be no mvc4 or cvs3. Probably not even a umvc3 HD remaster. Don't set yourself up for a disappointment like that imo.

• Cyclops is in MvC4
• Wolverine's leaving because there's no X-Men in MvC4

I'm not sure if Marvel Entertainment gave a fuck about legacy with the ban active. Even if Marvel Games cared, Perlmutter has the final call.

That's my feelings too, imagine we're possibly so close to seeing if this ban is still a thing.. I'm in knots!

I'm assuming Sony would be a big part of this deal, I'd like to think they would push for legacy characters (and more Spider-Man reps lol) and Marvel would likely oblige them more than just Capcom. I'm feeling good about a few X-Men, Deadpool definitely, that's money in the bank and Sony smells it.
