Now if they were to include Jessica Jones they should literally rip Rogue's moves beside the kiss obviously and give her phoenix wright animations of her not controlling her powers or backfiring.

That doesn't really make sense, unless they go for straight Jessica Jones as Jewel, rather than the street level Defenders-style Jessica Jones they've been doing recently for both the TV show and in the comics (and even then in the latter she generally is mostly staying at home caring for her kid).

'sides, why have JJ steal her moves from Rogue who stole her moves from Carol Danvers if Carol Danvers is much more likely than either JJ or Rogue to be in a hypothetical MvC4?

And why do you think MvC4 would be the one game to break the mold, if Marvel rather would create a spin-off character who isn't tied to the X-Men to have in their games (Gwenpool) rather than make him an exception?

Gotcha and gotcha. Still most likely that if they port Rogue's moveset at all, it'll be inherited by the person she (lore-wise) took her abilities from in the first place.

Cap is basically the Ryu on the Marvel side, so I don't really think his move list needs a huge overhaul, really. He's a base character for the game's gameplay and meant to get people if they are more inclined on the Marvel side of things.

i think with Cap would probably get a few new moves but nothing major, i feel like capcom got him perfect in 3.

So assuming that the roster will be 18 characters per side (like vanilla MvC3), and X-Men/F4 are cut, here is whom I would expect to be in MvC4 on Marvel's side:
Captain America
Hulk
Spider-Man
Iron Man
Thor
Hawkeye
Dr. Strange
Ghost Rider
Rocket Raccoon or Star-Lord
Ultron
Captain Marvel
Vision
Black Panther
Black Widow
Loki

The remaining 3 I would consider to be wildcards. I believe they'd give preference to eligible characters from MvC3 and female characters since there's only so few on that roster above, so I'd say Nebula or Mantis to promote GotG2 might have a good shot. Ant-Man and/or Wasp have great cards as well. Kamala Khan and America Chavez could as well for comic book pushing. If they wanna tie into their TV shows, which they might, Quake and Elektra have decent cards. If they wanna do Thor 3 stuff, Hela, Sif or Valkyrie have a good chance. And finally, since they're planning Cloak & Dagger as a TV show... maybe that one dream character I've had for years might have a chance. It's slim, but there's a chance.

One of the best changes was allowing him to keep the shield in MVC3, as well as hit the opponent back and forth. He seemed too limited in the previous game.

I remember the massive amounts of outrage when Rocket Raccoon was leaked and even more so when he was revealed.

You can't, but I can. Marvel is pretty ruthless in the pursuit of that. Even the games that have license to do X-Men/F4 content have toned that stuff down.
